At the far back you can see the space next to the crane where the helo 'could' go.

Yea, there is no way you are going to be fitting a helicopter pad on the top of that mast. Not only is there too little room but just flat out no access to resupply it. But you could always add a flat steel platform behind the crane for the helicopter to land on safely. You only need add ~10m in length which if my random jab at the scale of that image is right should be about 1cm on your monitor.

That thing's 300 metres long. A 10m helipad would be fairly substantial.

A 3.33%-length outcropping is nowhere near as substantial as the addition of a cargo elevator to get supplies up and down from a helipad at the very top, though.

Edit: Bagger 288 is actually 220 meters long, making it a 4.55% increase - again, not as big as the changes necessary for the original helipad location.

When I was looking over the wiki page for the Bagger I discovered a perfect vehicle for a mobile command centre, NASA's Crawler-Transporter.

"mobile" is a relative term

Though, regardless of all the pressing reasons why it's a bad idea, I strongly agree that a mobile-command-centre vehicle in that layout would be fabulously epic.

Holy Jesus.

Just put a few machine guns or autocannons on, a missile launcher or two and maybe a Mass Driver on one variant and the GDF have a mobile command center worthy of Kratos.

Zeinbrad, look at the top of this page, and see the Bagger 288. This is a vastly superior vehicle, not least because it will chew through your enemy's fortifications.

Neither are really "superior" to anything currently in place.

Shut up, let Padnak, Fash, Torrocca, and I out-NS everyone that came before. We KNOW that a mining excavator that moves 0.6km/h is impractical for warfare.

"Out NSing" (whatever that is) would be using the Boeing aerial aircraft carrier.

Alright then. Torr, Padnak, and I are working on a militarized Bagger 288 or three, and NOTHING can stop us.

Padnak, domestic production right for your 75 ton clusterfuck FAE bomb and launcher?

A command vehicle isn't supposed to stand out - it's supposed to blend in. Depending on the level of command, you're using a modified combat vehicle, a modified truck, a temporary building, or a bunker. A 40-meter-long, 2,700-tonne space rocket hauler with a top speed of 1.6 km/h just screams "shoot me with a cruise missile, I'm important and vulnerable." This goes double for the militarized Bagger 288. Remember, Battleships didn't go obsolete because missiles outranged guns - they went obsolete because they were big, slow targets for airplanes.

And yet, in spite of their potent flaws, both dream ideas seem to radiate epicness. A slightly younger me would be all over that crawling command center thing.

Wait, am I discussing realism on CYOE? Wow, it's been a long day.

You do it right by not using that flying aircraft carrier for carrying aircraft and instead use it to drop 200 ton bombs

Fool.

You mean that 747 with pocket fighters? Nah, too small. I have helicarriers when I'm in an :ns: mood. Y'know, the retardedly huge MARVEL ones.

Shut up.

I will use this NASA thing as the GDF's thing for...um...let me bullshit some stuff.

Command center.

Batttlestation.

Super-Heavy tank thing (Through the GDF already has something capable of killing the Ragon Super-Heavy tank, a tank with four Gauss Guns)

Transport for super important stuff of super importance.

Artillery thing.

Nigh-unstoppable breakthrough tank.
