So he doesn't have his computer set up with an algorithm to automatically search for "AK-47" in the forums and alert him whenever there's a new mention of it so he can spring into action and correct their errors? I'm rather disappointed...

The journey continues!

Image
(First man:) The 14th century has rolled around and the large hauberks have been replaced with a smaller one and plate armour have made it's first appearance alongside plated leather to help blow off enemy and the old Spangel helmets have been replaced with larger ones with visors instead of facemasks. In the way of weapons so have early halberds made their first appearance in large amounts with a hook at the end to help the soldiers to unhook enemy cavalry attacking their formations.

(Second man:) We continues to the high middle ages and full plate armour is the thing to go for if you are a professional soldier, you are going to get backed up by lighter infantry but you are going to be all but untouchable in your new fully armoured suit. Shields are all but gone and swords have also been phased out in favour of horrific poleaxes and maces that do a quite nice job of either cracking up a suit of full plate or break enough bones on the inside to actually put your foe out of combat.

(Third man:) The next step is the 16th century, the middle ages have come to an end and the plate armour is lightened and a new horrific weapon have been invented and put to good use, the pike. Large armoured formations of pikemen is now the way to fight with large swarms of crossbowmen and light cannons on the flank with cavalry defending your flanks and attacking anything that is not a massed wall of pikes and mean looking polaxes.
While thick silk robes have started to be used by the nobility as gambesons to make them all but immune from bullets just as their plate armour makes them all but untouchable from melee weapons from the recent expansions in the east so are only thin silk and leather tunics used by the common ranks due to the expenses involved in creating the silk robes.

(Forth man:) The renascence have started to gain speed in the military development as plate armour are dropped more and more in favour of more and cheaper block of pikes and massed lines of musketeers. The chainmail is gone entirely from infantrymen and only a plate curass, shoulderpads and gorget protects the infantryman besides his leather/silk tunic that can catch bullets but do not provide too much cover against enemy pikes and swords.

(Fifth man:) The armour is all but gone in the later parts of the 17th century and large lines of musketeers have the place of the large pike formations even if the pike still serves in the rear rank of the massed lines of infantry. With the armour being gone so have the sword also made a large comeback amongst the infantry and the mace have finally been phased out of it's age long service just as the bayonet have started to appear.

(Sixth man:) the early 18th century have rolled in and with it the first ideas of a standardised uniform for the ranks of each realm, Imerian soldiers were by law required to wear yellow trousers, blue tunics with yellow facings, cloaks of sky blue and yellow interior and by law a broad hat with a red feather. The cuts and fashions varied amongst the various kinds of soldiers but the colours started to be more and more standardised all over the federation.

(First man:) the 17th century is over and in 1703 were a new uniform adopted, the earlier yellow trousers were replaced with white baggier ones just as the cloak was decommissioned and a red scarf was introduced in the uniform.
(Second man:) 1713 so were the uniform modified ever so slightly as the broad brimmed hat was replaced with a tricorne, people were unsure why but it seemed like a new milestone had been crossed and the hat quickly made it's way into people's hearts.
(Third man:) 1753 so were more changes made, the size of the gloves were cut down and yellow facings were added on the arms and around the neck.
(Forth man:) 1759 so were further changes made as the hair became regulated, the old long hairstyle was officially banned in the armed forces and the soldiers had to tie their hair back in long ponytails instead. Sadly however so did the army also say good bye to the pike in this era and the soldier was expected to fight entirely with sword and bayonet in meleé.
(Fifth man:) 1809 so were a new jackboot like she introduced and the facing on the selves were replaced by gold and red instead of yellow just as proper collar was added to the tunic.
(Sixth man:)1870 have rolled around and the tunics were made darker blue just as the facings on the arms were made more ornate by adding a tip to it just as the trousers of the fighting man was given an austrian knot and spats were added to the standard uniform. The hat was also decorated a bit as regimental badges were added.

The old rifles were also replaced with a new lever action rifle called Harkon rifles or "Khöngliga vakt gervär mark 07" and is generally considered the grandparent of the KVG-08 and later on the modern federal KVG-09.
