Here are some screenshots of a fully mobile assault gun design I just made for a demonstration.
Because I was lazy the vehicle only has one direction of movement. That is to say it moves forward and backward but does not turn. Sideways motion would be easy to add but as I said, I was lazy. It comes equipped with a functioning TNT canon in the front and two firing ports in its sides.

Well, functional in the historical sense. You won't hit much of anything through the firing ports as the dispensers can't really be aimed. But it does have a strength 4x1 (4 charges, 1 projectile) TNT canon in the front that will grind your enemies forts into dust.

It's only sixteen blocks long, and four blocks high. Four blocks wide if you don't mind the barrel being offset/you count the repeater chain. Not too bad, really.

It's actually a rather dry reason - internal volume. The layout above can take more ammunition.

You *can*, in theory at least (I can picture it in my head, but I haven't tried drawing it yet), create an oscillating turret with a protected bustle autoloader that takes as many rounds as a conventional turret's bustle autoloader, but it just struck me as being easier to go with the option above.

Not to rain on such detailed train art... but... wouldn't it be far, far easier and cheaper to build one large fusion plant on land, then have the trains run off of electric lines above the tracks? This seems to be the norm throughout Western Europe (the electric lines, not the nuclear fusion), from slow in-city trams to high-speed international train lines. I don't even want to think about how many thousands of fusion reactors you'll need for an entire fleet of locomotives.

But also, once you get outside the populated centers and hit the frontiers or remote military sectors, smaller micro fusion power plants turning electric motor driving wheels on locomotives is the way to go without diesel to run on.

Added the sports coupe model of the IED Hauptmann. Because shennanigans. Also, front views to display the grille assembly.

The Mercurian Motors Landstradt. A more intentionally luxurious vehicle, it lacks the variety of body types in favour of more dedicated design options in each one. The main sedan model is a traditional four-door layout with integrated multimedia and computer options. An all-encompassing polymer sunroof fills the body of the vehicle with light and the heavy tint keeps glare to a minimum. A four-seater sedan, a bench-pattern rear seat is available by option, but is considered an extra. The Landstradt is marketed more towards the single male or childless family. It comes in a V5 or V7 engine with 6-speed manual gearbox.

To compete with the hauptmann utility, a monocoque hull utility model is on offer, often marketed as a 'sports' utility, with it's powerful engine and striking grille. Luxurious bucket seats and carefully appointed interiors appeal to those who want to appear rugged and ready, but wish for a more subtle and urbane interior.

Finally, the V11 sports model, a four-door high powered sports luxury, comes equipped with a spoiler and additional air intakes. An integrated intercooler under each wheel well helps to aspirate the air-hungry turbochargers packed tightly beneath the prominent 'nose' of the vehicle, and manage the engine temperature. A computer-operated all wheel drive system carefully and intelligently controls the drive of each wheel individually to ensure the best and most efficient application of the powerful engine. Not a true 'supercar', it is nonetheless featured prominently in many Mercurian Motors advertisements.

They're not all that bad! Being able to carry a big gun and having a fairly low profile isn't a bad thing by any standards - on the other hand, by virtue of the way these turrets are conventionally designed, the turret has a limited ready ammunition capacity behind armour and limited gun elevation/depression.

The other issue is that an oscillating turret arrangement that plays to its advantages tends to have a big gun on a small chassis. If you play that like the AMX-13, you end up in a situation where your low-capacity autoloader can't actually be reloaded from the stored supply of ammunition from inside the tank - so you fire off your two drums of ammunition, and you're then out of combat as your crewmen run off to load more shells into the cylinders. The turret ring is too small, and the internal arrangement of the tanks too cramped - so to have a decent oscillating turret design, you'd be looking at having one of either a decently sized turret ring to give the crew more manoeuvre space, crucially between the reserve ammunition supply and the autoloader, or a bigger autoloader. Or both.
