The War Machine of Ultorum

The War Machine is an entity, some could said a 'state' or even an 'empire'. However one may also judge those as incorrect as the War Machine is different with an ordinary nation. It is formed solely on purpose of expansion and oppression. There's no private industry nor private properties owned by anyone, its economy directed towards producing only weapons and other goods needed for its expansion, oppression and especially consumption, the main focus of Ultorum.

There are only three entities inclusive each other moving this War Machine, it is the Armed Forces, the Ministry of Order and the War Church of Apocalypse. The Church persuades and manipulates the Ultorians into senseless loyalty and fanaticism, the Ministry of Order regulate the whole state's production while the Armed Forces expand and protect the War Machine from outside danger, compete with other war machines over world takeover and its destruction.

The War Machine is ruled by one claimed to be Ultor himself, claimed as the supreme God. The supreme god now was powerless within his form, a golden statue within the Temple of Ultor. But he dictate the Ultorian rules and under His command, thousands of dissidents or 'blasphemers' were executed. Everyday they were sacrificed to Ultor in order to feed Himself to keep Him under his weak form.

Part One: the History

The wise once said that a today nation is decided by its past. Who's the wise, it is never known because all subversive, undesirable knowledge and their owners were exterminated by the High Command since the establishment of the War Machine. Whoever she or he is, it might be correct and it is valid to look into Ultorian History in order to flesh out about the insanity currently possessed by it.

It is started since the refuge of humanity out of polluted Earth to expand their empire with knowledge and power they already possess and escape of their monotonous, shattered, war-shimmered planet. One from hundreds of fleets of humanity led by a brave man named Severus ('Severus the Father') invade a small, fertile planet inhabited with spirit-like creatures. The spirits were immortal to anything but dirty air and life brought by humans and as they are useless spirits they cannot possess any weapons. Therefore they slowly were extinct, except ones hidden under scary swamps in the planet's equatorial belt. Mankind called the planet as Vitae and they live happily ever after within the planet with Severus ruled them justly. He died and the mankind's rule was ceded with democratically-elected consuls. And for at least five hundreds of years Vitae Civilization progress wildly.

During the five centuries of Vitae Mankind we saw the flaws of humanity and evils of outer races. Within this age the religion now known as the War Church of Apocalypse or Apocalyptism has founded two hundreds years ago by a man claimed to be the Seraph of God Himself, Ultor (Latin for the Avenger). The War Church for years spread religious violence within the Republic and influence its politics into more bloody. It tried to stop the widespread corruption among the politicians as already be witnessed by the civilians, and therefore supported by them. The War Church, ruled by the High Rector slowly dominate its politic and the Holy Party frequently won the largest seats.

Beside godlessness the Republic was also trapped within two problems: frequent attack from other creatures and the chaotic, criminal life. And thus the Armed Forces gained domination along with the foundation of Ministry of Order. The three dominators were known as the Triumvirate, where the High Commander of Armed Forces, the Minister of Order and the High Rector were the true ruler of Vitae, where the Senate is just a comedic theater with the Triumvirate behind them.

And soon of course, when the Capitol citizens life happily people outside it were oppressed and forced to produce more goods. It's a feudalism outside the Capitol, laissez-faire capitalism within. Soon the serfs declared their independence from oppressive government and started a rebellion against Senate ~ they blamed it wrongly. And blood was fall defile the Ultorian history.

The Triumvirate realize the danger. Senate was instantly dissolved and like a monster they are, they started to unite more closely. Led by Marshall Julius they massacred the rebels with cold blood and hand and started to reorganize the secret police ~ which was disbanded during the democratic regime. With the reason of the greater good they started to appear their hidden faces and implemented totalitarian actions. Until Ultor appeared...

On 1st Year of Ultor, the God appeared. The statue within the Temple of Ultor was alive, the statue with eyes of ruby and body of gold. He claimed to be Ultor return to His empire and He intended to rule it. He declared his distrust to humanity and He dictates the laws of Ultor. Under His rule all Ultorians are subjected to total control. But further, Ultor wants other civilizations to unite into his Kingdom...he wants his Kingdom to consume others..

Part Two: the War Church

The War Church of Apocalypse, commonly referred as the War Church is the official state church of the War Machine of Ultorum, which maintains and promotes the worship of Ultor Almighty as the one, true God of Universe. It's a massively large organization with several hierarchical castes, from the High Rector until the Preachers. The foundation of the War Church is the belief of Ultor as the supreme god of all beings and its worship through rituals and (more commonly) holy wars. It also enforces the 'legitimate worship of Ultor' and for hundreds of years purge heresies and blasphemies away from the War Machine.

The War Church's core theological tenets, aside from worship of Ultor are also holy war and the apocalypse. Within the Church's doctrine, apocalypse, unlike many other theological apocalypses, is the final achievement of War Machine's world domination, last war against evils and the revelation of Ultor's final message before he vanished from the Universe.

The War Church is one of War Machine's Triumvirate aside from the High Command and the Ministry of Order. It commands its own military called the Ultorist Inquisition, dedicated to exterminate heretics, infidels, blasphemers and other enemies of the Church. It's also ensure obedience to the Ultorians with its strict watch against them. With the Inquisitorial Rule freedom seemed to be very far away from the reach of Ultorians, however Ultor is there and will ensure the people's safety from the chaotic worlds...Ultor protects..

Part Three: the Ministry of Order

Also known as the Ministry of Production, or simply the Ministry. The Ministry of Order is focused on the matter of further oppression and faster state's production to further ease their goal for the War Machine. It's divided under several subordinates on their each regions and regulate the citizens from their incorporation of sperm and ovum within the Station of Ideal Hatchery until their execution for inability to work. Torture, murder, propaganda and forced labor are the everyday tool of the Ministry to ensure people's obedience under One Command.

The Ministry officers are uniformed in grey and could be ensured to be everywhere within entire Ultorian territories or more exactly, 'units'. However there are many other Ministry officers with no uniform after all, they infiltrate the civilians and their task is to detect any dissidents and eliminate them away from the War Machine. All of them are responsible to the Minister Augustus. An efficient and cold marshall assimilated during his young age.

Under the Ministry's reign death camps are built everywhere to people with single subversive thought. There lies the worst nightmare of men where dissidents suffer the horrifying death punishment, slowly mutilated and hanged, waterboarded, skinned alive...all to ensure the Order. After new assimilation procedure for colony citizens and strict propaganda implanted to Ultorian children, now there were only subversive aliens and freedom fighters chained within those death camps and suffer the consequence of their search for freedom.

Part Five: the Characters

Below are the characters I've invented, and likely will be played in my RPs. List will be updated.

High Rector Urbanus

Known as the Ecclesiarch or Urbanus Primus (Urbanus the First), Urbanus I is the High Rector of the War Church of Apocalypse during his lifetime. He's notoriously spirited, tempered and zealot. Under his leadership many corrupt priests of the Church were removed and exterminated by the Inquisition and the Chaos cultists annihilated fully from Vitae.

Elected to replace the previous corrupt old High Rector, Paulus XII who later executed under Urbanus' command as a heretic, he declare the Purge of Church and establish a new Church institution, Inquisitio Corruptionae Pravitatis. Thousands of Church officers forcefully dragged into the Church and interrogated. Any properties gained with doubtful way were confiscated by the Church and its owners exterminated. At least five hundreds officers were executed under the accusation of fiscal corruption with the investigation from the Inquisitio Corruptionae Pravitatis.

Urbanus is a loyalist fanatic to the Church and differs heretics and Church with 'falsifiers' and 'truth bearers'. The arrival of Ultor to Ultorum assures the truth of Church and it's his divine task to purge the false gods. He endorses many holy wars in order to purge other gods and demons. He's also obsessed with the concept of Order same as other members of Triumvirate.
