Two members of parliament were assassinated as they left the house of parliament for supporting the use of the military to suppress riots in the south-west of the country. The Assassin (Leonard Leavitt) was killed 3 days later in a shootout with the armed police.

On the 4th of July 1923 the Afalian chocolate manufacturers David's, celebrated its 100th anniversary by giving all schoolchildren in the capital Blackdon a free bar of chocolate. Outcry at other children, outside the capital, not receiving free chocolate led to the company handing out a free chocolate bar at every primary school in the country. The strain of the free chocolate led to the company shutting down for an entire year, known comically as the Chocolate Drought, before re-opening in 1924.

4.7.2011, Joseph Martinez, the former Prime Minister and Leader of Fasternia, was shot to the shoulder. It was revealed that it was an assassination attempt, which lead to the death of 10 FaF members (the underground movement, Fasternians against Fascism), and the FaF also dissolved itself when it found that it was hated by the majority (96%) of Fasternians.

On this day in 1811 Holy General Paul Quarta denounced the leadership of the Holy Charellian Empire as false prophets leading Dioned province to declare independance two weeks later. The day is marked by Dioned province as Quarta Day, a controversial celebration of the man and in Norida province as Deception Day where they burn General Quarta in effigy for denouncing their prophets.

In 2005 the Quarta Day Revelations, exposing widespread human rights violations by the Charellain Intelligence Service were leaked to the media by Junior Executor of National Security Allan Dillan. The ensuing scandal would lead to the resignation of the Chief Executor.
