How many layers of clothing do your wrap your women in?

Postby Gustafia » Mon Jun 10, 2013 5:07 am

In Gustafia we require all women to be shielded by no less than 7 layers of thick, scratchy dyed wool. We assume the rest of the world does the same. Not having an electricity or TV, we of course haven't seen your terribly ugly women. But if they show so much as an ankle, you can expect our military forces to be at your borders by noon!

There are no laws in the Prut Meritocracy which in any way regulate an individuals (female or male) clothing in everyday life, privately or publicly. The only requirement is to cover one's primary sexual characteristics, i.e. genitals when in public.

One to two layer for casual, three to four for formal.

Regular clothes,

Lower class women wear white garment.

Middle class women wear pants and T-shirts, sometimes jeans.

High class women wear skirts, a t-shift, sometimes shirts with hats.

Of course women can wear anything they want, the above was just random choosing.

Our women are perfectly capable of wrapping themselves.

That said, it is customary for members of any gender to only expose the face, hands and feet. Long-haired women often wear a headscarf for reasons of modesty, and many work and school uniforms specify that hair must either be cut short or covered up.

OOC: I lol'd at the title. Thanks, OP. I needed that.

Vilkan women ordinarily dress in two or three layers of clothing, like men (underwear, 'normal' clothes, perhaps a jacket or other cold weather gear). It depends on the activity and the weather.

We have so cold climate that everyone wears a spacesuit. Good looking women have to carry a special badge though, which shows their picture and their hotness in a scale of 8 to 10.

Any number is possible and legal, although due to the cold, especially in the North, the average number rarely drops below 3. In summer though, the average tends to drop a bit.

Two layers of clothing, just like men. The inner cloth and the outer Hanbok or dress made of silk for rich and cheaper cloth for poor. Three layers at night or in colder environments. A cloak.

Our women are, for the most part, capable of dressing themselves.

Clothing isn't actually required, though most people wear some when in public.

If your military forces were to challenge us, I think the result would be unlikely to be what you hope.

"We" don't do it. Sounds creepy.

Our women generally wrap themselves in two layers of clothing (undergarments, clothes) when it's warm, and three layers (those plus a coat) if it's cold.
