In UBU, it is totally illegal unless the mother is in danger.

Completely legal before 4 months and after consulting a doctor.
The popular belief is that if you don't want a baby, you shouldn't have a baby.
Orphanages are not common in Erefen, so the abortion rate has been going up.
Many people believe putting a child in an orphanage is unfair to the child, anyways.

Abortion is completely legal on the mother's request. Under Valmont law, abortions can only be carried out within the first 24 weeks of pregnancy.

There a number of rare cases in which abortions may be carried out after 24 weeks:
  • If it is necessary to save the mother's life
  • To prevent grave injury to the mother
  • If there is substantial risk of the child being physically or mentally handicapped

Abortion is available on demand for foreigners, and is even encouraged by the government, who do not allow foreign children into foster care or child assistance. This means that if a family of legal residents (citizenship is typically restricted to those of Pfalzer nationality) has a child and they cannot support it, they are deported.

However, for Pfalzers, the case is very different. There is a fine levied on abortion based on one's ability to raise and rear children. For young, unwed women, there will be very little or no fine. However, for couples and families, or people of high socioeconomic positions, this fine can become incredibly expensive. All unauthorized abortion is met with stiff criminal penalties.

It should be noted that Pfalzreich has extensive adoption, foster care, and child assistance programs, available at no cost to the mother, regardless of her background.

It is legal in certain scenarios, (Rape, Incest, the fetus having a deadly disease, etc.) but if the woman wants one for no reason, it will be ignored.

Abortion is heavily frowned upon by Ostidians. First, abortion is only allowed if the life of the mother is in danger, or the baby has no possibilities to be born alive. Otherwise, it is illegal, by Ostidian Law, and both the would-be mother and would-be father could go to jail or face heavy fines and tax inflations. Second, the main reasons why abortion is also widely frowned upon is that it goes against the religious beliefs of most of the population (F&O has a Catholic majority) and against the 'code of behaviour' of the population; people hold the value of responsibility as one of the most important aspects of society, and performing an abortion just because the pregnancy is unwanted is considered an opposite of being responsible, as neither the mother nor the father are willing to take care of the baby. Ostidians think that when a woman has an unwanted pregnancy, she must be positive, be thankful for being able to bring a new life, and carry on with her pregnancy. The father must also be willing to love and take care of his child, and he must help the mother in all what she needs. If the couple can't handle having a baby due to economical or more deep personal issues other than "disliking children", they can put the child in adoption. Orphanages in F&O are high quality centres, operated by loving caretakers and volunteers of all ages that are willing to work with kids.

Legal in cases of incest, rape, and when maternal life is at risk, but that alone. Our society is mainly Reformed Christian and is views abortion negatively.

El Kuduro is a staunch Catholic nation that tends to view abortion very negatively. In 2012, it became legal only in the case of maternal life. Some liberal legislators are working on making it legal in the case of rape but no official legislation has hit the floor of the Senate.

For genetically healthy citizens, it is restricted to cases of rape or a threat to the mother's health. For genetically unhealthy citizens, it is fully legal at any point and has economical incentives to do so.

It is 100% illegal except for when absolutely necessary to save the mother's life. Most hospitals don't have the capabilities to provide abortion so these patients are sent to other countries.

Abortion is legal under civil and criminal law, but banned by canon law. Not that this stops women from doing so. It is typically done by means of herbal medicines, which are cheaper and easier to find than medication or clinics. It is almost always done in the very first month or so, too. The only exceptions are ectopic pregnancies, which are performed for medical necessity in hospitals by OB/GYNs.

Abortion is absolutely, without exception, illegal. In the case of rape or if an unwed mother dies during childbirth, the child is raised in a State held maturing facility.

Totally illegal. In cases of rape, women are often advised to marry their rapist to legitimize the birth. If they are already married to someone else, the rapist must pay child support to the woman's husband.

In cases of maternal life, the mother's life is inconsequential if it means the child will be born.

In cases of incest, children tend not to survive long anyways.

If the child is going to be stillborn, the abortion was already done by higher powers, and the woman must still proceed with the pregnancy.

Welcome to Hadin.
Just so you know, this nation, in character, is a highly sexist, highly theocratic, and highly authoritarian state. (Though under the new guy, it seems to be improving a little).

I disagree with a lot of what this nation stands for. It was invented for its intrigue and ample opportunities for satire, not for its ideals.

Abortion is completely illegal except for in cases where the life of the mother is at stake. Participating in an abortion in any other instance is treated as premeditated murder, a capital offense.

Abortion is legal in Mouchova, but do to strong religious values among the majority of the population, combined with efficient child adoption services, abortion rates in Mouchova are much lower in comparison to other nations.

Privacy rights, however, are not fully 100%. Some questions are asked about the father of the child in an attempt to identify cases of rape or incest. In Mouchova, the government refuses to permit abortion to be used as a means to quietly dispose of evidence of the crimes of rape or incest. Women don't need to answer and can still receive the procedure, but their identities are not fully anonymous as they would be in a "no questions asked" environment. The state, however, always claims immediate but temporary ownership of an aborted fetus or child. Women who receive abortions can request the remains for burial after DNA is acquired (usually the same day). The DNA is then tested, the results of which are referenced with databases to determine if the father of the fetus was a relative, a registered sex offender, etc. Once the state determines no crime was committed, the mother's identity is purged from their records and from the medical clinic's files.

Although civil rights activists don't completely agree with this, law enforcement initially reported a shocking but expected increase in the number of rape, statutory rape, and incest convictions on cases that would have otherwise gone unreported and undiscovered. These crime rates have since been dramatically decreasing after the first year of the program's existence.

There is no policy for this act. It is illegal and High Crime at that; medical professionals caught participating are stripped of their licenses and degrees and in most cases hung, while those on the receiving end of the procedure are routinely jailed for murder for up to six years and all persons who were aware of the actions taken by the doctor and expecting mother are fined anywhere from 5000 to 25,000 livres( 8000-28,000 USD(est).
