There are plenty of treacherous mountain roads, but of the main roads it is most undoubtedly State Road 1099, a curvy, icy 2 lane road that connects several mountain towns in the northern section of the country. Replacing it would be massively expensive, there are several deaths each month. It has gotten to the point where outsiders who do not know how to handle the roads hire skilled locals to reach these towns.

All roads are owned and paved by the private sector with government assistance and sponsorship. By "paved", we mean levelled and spread properly, as they dirt roads. We have five-lane super highways, but these connect TurtleShroom's largest cities and are annoyingly tolled. Dirt roads crisscross the country and are normally run down if they aren't frequented. Residences and such maintain their own roads, and as a reward, get to name them and count its maintenance as charity.

There are more railroads than dirt and paved roads in TS. We rely on the railroad to get to where we want to go, and when that's not present, the bus system makes a fortune because cars are looked down upon in our culture.

Due to the low usage, all unpaved roads do not have speed limits. Dirt roads, without speed limits, in swamps and deserts and jungles, equal peril. The only reason we have such a low death-by-traffic rate is because we do not have traffic.

The Northern ice roads are constantly plauged by whiteouts and avalanches due to the nearly perpetual snowfall in the northernmost reaches of Eliasonia. High winds and high altitude also factor in to the numerous accidents and deaths reported yearly. Only truck based vehicles such as SUV's, Pickups and Tractor trailers are permitted on these roads.

We are a flying city so we have no roads, but we have narrow streets. These are not very dangerous.

The primary method of fast transport is by skyline. This is very dangerous since the magnetic hooks used to fly them are sometimes faulty, or the line might be damaged. Oops, you just plummeted 20,000 feet to your untimely death.

any pavement upon which a motorized vehicle is driven, is considered dangerous by cameroi standards. that is why they are only built and maintained by vehicle machinist hobbyists, and permission to build them closely regulated.

Pretty much any road north of Nevermore is dangerous, and some others as well. Hazards include wet or icy roads, inclement weather, wildlife crossing the road, landslides, disused logging roads that lead to dead-ends, and long stretches without any settlements or rest stops. Most people get around by rail, water or air transport, as they are easier to maintain. Public works usually only make a half-hearted attempt to keep up rural roads, and many aren't even paved.

Traskiadaj road is most the dangerous. It is a small, gravely dirt road on the side of the Paradian alps. Although it has a stunning view of the Paradian Tropical Rain Forest, about 61 lives were lost on it. The name means Pass of Death in Traditional Carenian. It was named that by Paradian armies crossing and losing many men and animals on the route. A new road that is more safer and has the same destination, but dare devils and tourist still visit it.

The Serbian Empire has many dangerous roads, but the most famous is also the most scenic as it goes from Dubrovnik to Bar as the Bay of Kotor offers massive ravines and cliffs as well as a curvy shoreline which the highway follows. It's not particularly deadly as it used to be due to improved car ferry design which has a route from Bar to Dubrovnik makes the trip equally long in time, but far safer than the numerous corners around the Bay of Kotor.

Though many mountains have their main roads built through them, or around them, the sheer number of cities in Wallenbergia which are located on large mountains, and hills has necessitated that some roads be built onto, and carved out of the mountains themselves. Due to the danger of falling rocks, mountaingoats, and the inability to see around corners, these roads can be dangerous for drivers who are not used to them, or who do not follow the rules of such roads, especially during Winter, or when it is especially rainy. Many roads which are normally very safe also become dangerous during the Winter, due to their being covered in snow, and ice, sometimes to the point of being completely undetectable without extensive clearing. In other parts of Wallenbergia, some roads are located on large floodplains, which can present problems during Spring, when rain falls in large amounts, and snow left over from the Winter melts.

The most dangerous road is the "Jameson Death Road" between the cities of Hamilton and Greenwalt in the State of Jameson. It is a narrow one-lane road that holds both directions of traffic, high in the Shrill Mountains. An average of 170 die each month in the summer on this road, and as many as 460 per month in the winter months when the road is icy. No State or Federal highway now goes on this highway as safer alternatives were completed by 2003, although it is still used as a shortcut by many, and has become a top choice for thrill-seekers from around the world.

Quite a few roads in the mountains of Costa Fiero can be considered dangerous, mainly due to the lack of proper safety barriers and the driving habits of the locals. Many of the roads in the Amazon are also considered dangerous due to the remoteness of some of the locations. Of all the roads, the R-35 is probably the one that has the worst reputation. Although paved in its entirety, the road is considerably busy as it forms the Costa Fieran part of the Pan-American Highway. The busy nature of the road, the dangerous and sometimes reckless attitudes of the drivers and the many blind corners lead to many road deaths per year.

The most dangerous, in terms of death rates, was the Old Highway Ten, linking Jasper with Ostermark using a longer route around mountains. When that section was completed in 1961, it was quite safe, but due to the fact it only had two lanes (one per direction), combined with erosion, by 1982, it had 91 deaths. In 1984, a new section of Highway 10 was completed, with two lanes per direction, which bypassed Jasper.

The Old Highway was deemed unsafe by the Alto Luziycan Government to vehicular traffic in 1993. Ironically, deaths on the Old Highway peaked in 1985, due to an influx of tourists, with 139 tourists (plus 61 locals) died. Until 1998, it was still safe for biking, but after eight cyclists fell to their deaths, it was closed to all traffic (in 1998, some sections were reduced to just 45 cm in width, in 1984, those sections were 2.5 meters in width, and in 1961, they were ten meters). Some people walk but it is not advised.

In total, 9,301 people lost their lives on the highway between 1961 and 1993, of which 61% were tourists.

Although most roads are fairly safe, one must be wary when approaching 720C Highway I98 Section, linking Salase Stop and Hixaburo Stop, in Southern National Park, through Mount Gorchanme, next to the famous Mount Bivouac. I98 is especially dangerous during the winter season, when it freezes over and forms thin ice, especially at the River Chop section, where cars have been known to fall into the river. An average of 1 person dies every day around the area, and the number increases to 6 in the winter.

Another notorious one would be 100A Highway T09 Section, linking Sheung Hoi's Gongshan Land Customs Pass and the rest of the island. It is notorious for having many caras passing through everyday, resulting in unfortunate accidents. Especially during holidays, T09 should be avoided and it is advised for motorists to take the T10 Section to ease traffic. Every day, it is estimated that 6 million cars pass through this section and 500 accidents happen everyday. Thankfully, there are 60 lanes so traffic will be directed smoothly in the case of an accident. However, during holidays, 30 million cars pass through this section and about 1000 accidents occur everyday. The most famous jam in South Minorqa's history happened at T09, where people were stranded for 1 day and 12 hours during the Labour Day holiday, with a record 100 million cars passing through then.

Since most travel is accomplished through mass transit, there are few roads that are not up to nationwide safety standards.

In terms of survival rate of travelers, the most unsafe roads might be those within the monster zone, upon which people are occasionally crushed, vaporized, or eaten, but they are all fully aware of the danger those roads possess before they set out.
I'll have a hard time respecting you if you use stock images for your buildings/ships/planes/guns/cars/cities/etc.

Many rural roads in northern Montena suffer from terrible weather and poor investment. In parts of the north they are more like mud tracks than roads.

The most dangerious land transit route in the republic is from the Tartarus space port to the prison colony 100 km away, the planet Tartarus has a temperature of over 700 degrees Celsius , high gravity, and a thick high pressure fluorine atmosphere with magnetic and gravitational disturbances that make any landing except via the orbital elevator impossible. The route itself skirts several lakes of molten lead and if the vehicle has a life support failure death is instantaneous.

Regular life support suits tend to fail spectacularly and the staff of the colony have android bodies that can withstand the enviroment. Inmates are relatively safe inside the colony and in the specially designed transports that take them to and from the colony. (these transports are parked at the spaceport when not in use.)

The most dangerous road is Camina Alta. It runs through the Sierra Sol mountain range, which is small but rough and treacherous. It is the principle road in the mountains so it is traveled on by many cars but not well-paved. It also has a lot of sharp bends around rocks where cars can be damaged and criminals can hide. Also, many animals migrate across it. In the winter, it freezes over and causes cars to slide. In November 2006, 64 people were killed when a car slid on ice, causing six others to crash and go over the side of a mountain, into a small jewelry store below. The province Montana is working on improving the quality of Camina Alta but it is going to be very hard. About 400 deaths occur on the 60-mile road every year!

Roads are typically safe in Tierra Sol but one must be careful when traveling in the mountains. Reckless driving can result in the death of you a dozens of others.
