Does Your Nation have a Royal Family?

Yes, we have an actual Royal Family of Rudiane which actively participate in the government, we also have minor "royal families" in the colonial realms. It derives from the pseudo-monarchy that existed when Rudiane itself was a colony a long time ago. Only the the current and previous two Monarchs have been independent.

Yes, and it's called the "Hanvyrnich" dynasty. They are descended from the mythical incarnate of the goddess known as Hanvyrna. They wielded near-absolute power in Halkiovna before 2250 when they were overthrown by the Platinum Rebellion and became a Republic. The Republic still has members of the Hanvyrnich dynasty becoming heads of state, albeit in a democratic way. After the apocalypse, one branch fled to Stivyrilc and that was the beginning of the Kroviels Dynasty. They rule in a presidium with the two Prime Ministers, Supreme Marshal, and National Primarch (technocratic leader).

Seeing as we're literally a constitutional monarchy, be a bit weird of we didn't have a royal family, wouldn't it? The Aikolandais royal family has officially been reigning since the year 510 (although it's acknowledged that no monarch prior to King Christian I in 837 has actual evidence for their existence, and we also acknowledge that modern Aikoland only dates to 1719, with all previous official monarchs being either the King/Queen of Aiko [from 510 until 1303] or the King/Queen of Aiko, the King/Queen of Boullién, and the King/Queen of Saun [from 1303 until 1719]).

The current Aikolandais monarch is Empress Élisabeth IV, who has been reigning since the abdication of her father, Emperor Édouard IV, in 1992. She has been on the throne for twenty-eight years. Of particular note is that Élisabeth is the first monarch to come to the throne after our nation adopted absolute primogeniture in 1985.

However, if we really want to get down to it, we have 20 monarchs in Eritei, because every state (excluding Venice and Genoa, which are Republics) has either a Duke or King as their head of state.

Fun fact, Eritei was technically an Absolute Monarchy until 2005 because no laws were put in place to hinder the power of the monarch because it was thought they would never abuse their powers (they did, just never in the 20th century and onward)

Prior to that, they had 17 kings, 12 with princes, 10 with archdukes, 23 oligarchic councils, 19 republics, 7 diarchy's, 4 occupation zones, one previous Empire, and a failed socialist rebellion; all of these at random intervals.

Jinkara does have a monarchy; however, they are more of a tourist attraction and mostly for show than for actual government; that said one thing about the monarchy is that they technically have their lifestyle fully funded by the government. (They’ve existed more for historical reasons, and likely if the current dynasty dies; there won’t be a new lineage).

The Imperial House of Eikotomi (also referred to as the Royal Family, Imperial Family, or the Yamato Dynasty) is the royal family of the nation. The duties of the royal family are largely ceremonial, with most of the decisionmaking powers being granted to the National Diet and the elected government. The monarch however, has a duty to approve all laws which are passed by the Diet and has the power to veto legislation which he deems contrary to national interest. The monarch also holds the "second key" to Eikotomi's reserves, and any request by the elected government to draw on past reserves not accumulated in the current term of government will have to be approved by the monarch.
