Even though Baravia is a constitutional monarchy with a Parliament and a Prime Minister, the Baravian Royal Family has been around for generations. The family name is St. James-Evremonde and the current monarchs are HM King Andrew IV the Grand of Baravia and HM Queen Helena the Fair of Mountbatten. They have considerable power and all laws have to go through their acknowledgement and they act as the Sovereigns and rulers of the Baravian Commonwealth and ambassadors to the world, as the Prime Minister only handles domestic affairs.

The current Family has been ruling for over 400 years, though they were forced to leave during the First Revolution in 1700. In the Second Revolution, several decades later, they were placed back in power after the catastrophic failure of a corrupt Democracy.

Yes we do and they do have the opportunity to be in power as they can run in elections but there is no absolute monarchy and all of the reigning monarchs until now have understood that the work load of being monarch and leader is too much so usually it is members of the family who will never get to reign who run in elections. The current leader is a monarch and the ruler but has managed to reduce his work load through delegation, the house of Flanagan has always been the nations royal family since the founding of the country and empire.
