Breheim utilizes capital punishment for serial rape, serial murder, treason, practicing paedophilia and usage of severe magic. Civilian crimes are executed by guillotine (for the most part in private, but occasionally publically). Treason and military crimes which warrant execution are sentenced by firing squad.

If a convict is sentenced to death, the case is sent directly to the supreme court (where it can be appealed two times maximum).
There, all 25 supreme court judges meet with the defender, prosecutor and defendant. It will be a standard trial, but at the end a minimum of 21 out of 25 judges must vote for death penalty.

When a convict is sentenced to death, a special committee has the task to go through the case once again to ensure that the convict was sentenced correctly. This panel includes lawyers, police officers, doctors and psychiatrists.
Is they approve of the sentence, the death penalty stands.
In Walosia, its a law that a persons time on death row can not exceed 6 years, so the death penalty must be carried out before then.
He/she have the opportunity to chose which way he/she is going to die.
Methods range from heroin overdose to lethal injection to shooting.
Then the inmate have the opportunity to appeal the decision, but only two times.

On the day of execution, the inmate have the opportunity to order, both a last meal and a last wish.
The last meal is just like last meals in the real world and can not exceed cost of 50 dollars. The last wish, however is how the inmate want to live his last day.
There are some rules concerning this matter. For instance you can not ask for your freedom. The price of that wish can not exceed 200 dollars and it cant be something you have to spend multiple days to do. Notable examples of last wishes.
- A flatscreen TV with network connection, netflix subscription and 4 kg of candy. (the TV is rented from a electronic department, the netflix subscription belongs to the prison)
- Four call girls (he wanted five but that exceeded the 200 dollar limit)
- Go for a swim in a lake
- Jump in a parachute (with heavy police present)
- Hold a press conference, alone with only the media and some police officers.
- A playstation console and a flat screen with call of duty + internet

On the final two hours, the inmate have the opportunity to talk to family and friends plus a priest of some sort if he/she wishes that. He/she has up to the final 10 minutes to chat with his/hers family.
When the 10 minute mark is passed, the officers come to pick up the inmate and lead him to the execution room.The inmate is then placed in a leather armchair (see picture below) and, depending on his security risk, he/she is strapped to the chair. Its also normal to give the inmate a cannabis joint to calm the nerves seeing that its not easy keeping calm when you know you are going to die.
The friends and family are "welcome" to be present in the room with the inmate. There are no other present with the exemption of two police officer, the three executioner and a man/woman to watch the phone for any calls from the minister. In other words, people are not allowed to watch. Not the victims families, not the media, none except the family of the inmate and the various police officers needed to do the job. But there is an exception, the inmate will write a few last words on a paper before his/hers execution. If the inmate want to have the victims family present because he/she wants to ask for forgiveness, that is okay. The victims family will then be placed in a separate room with windows into the room. They are present only to hear the final words and the shades are drawn before the execution process begins.
The family are present to comfort the inmate in his/hers last minutes. The inmate can also request something to cuddle with if he/she wants so. Like a plush toy or something like that. He/she can also request a special song to be played during the process.
Then the executioners unlocks the machine and the process starts. Only one keyhole activates the machine. The other two are decoys. If the inmate chose the heroin overdose, a mask will be placed on top of his face, covering his mouth and nose and it will make him breath in heroin gas, which causes euforia before death. Non painful. 98% of death row inmates choose this one.
When the inmate is dead, his family gets 5 minutes alone with him before they leave. Then its the normal procedure with storing the body for burial.

If a person is sentenced to death, they are allowed to choose the time of their execution, up to two weeks after the date of sentencing. They are allowed to say their goodbyes, prepare or alter their will, and consult religious authorities if they are so inclined. It's not unheard of, though, for someone to choose the time of their execution as "now".

Whatever the case, our method of execution is one bullet directly between the eyes, followed by one to the brain stem.

Our Emperor has the constitutional authority to command any other form of execution in order to discourage particularly heinous crimes; in practice, this has never happened.

There is however more exotic method of execution, this however is only able to be done by extremely rare Velba race woman. In this method of execution the woman will actually breastfeed the convict, her milk contain special substances, believed to be nanomachines or some sort of cells immediately manipulate the convict's body. The convict will be unable to resist due to sheer physical strength of the woman and because the milk itself also contain extremely powerful sedative agent which will "tame down" the convict.

The nanomachines will manipulate the body of the convict according to the will of the woman, The manipulations can be anything from "de-aging" the convict back to infant or even back to zygote, melting the convict's body or rewriting the personality of the convict. Possibility are endless.

Civil Cases:
In Civil Law, execution is relatively rare, as most criminals are put through rehabilitation programs; repeat offenders are made to repay their debt through labor. But in certain severe cases of rape or murder, or where the convict is determined to be an incurable threat to society, they will be sentenced to execution.

Civil Executions are carried out in secret, often in the basement of the prison or a "concrete room" in its center. The method of death can range from lethal injection, to electrocution, to a gunshot to the head; in all cases it is designed to be painful but quick. As few Soodeans are willing to administer these executions in person, less severe offenders may be trusted with the job as part of their repayment-through-labor.

After the convict is dead, they are cremated in the traditional fashion, but their ashes are stored on site. The family of the deceased is informed of the convict's death, but cannot take the box of ashes home for placement in an ancestral shrine. In some circles, this practice is known as "eternal imprisonment."

Military Cases
While Civil Law tends to be more modern and forgiving, Military Law is still entwined in traditional conceptions of honor. If a soldier is found guilty of a War Crime, such as killing or raping a civilian, torturing an enemy noncombatant, or stealing civilian property, they will be brought before a firing squad, stripped of their uniform, and shot. Unlike Civil executions, which take place behind closed doors, these sentences are carried out in front of the rest of the Battalion or Regiment, as a way of publicly demonstrating the consequences of dishonoring the Soodean Army.

Capital punishment is standard for even minor crimes. Once the judge reads out the guilty verdict, the firing squad enters and shoots the convict in the courtroom itself. The sandy floor soaks up the blood. Quick and simple.

The Execution Law of the People's Republic of Gegeia, Chapter 2: Execution Methods, Article 34 states that Execution Process varies from Crime to Crime. Example: If Person A murdered someone else, then Person A would be executed through firing squad. If Person B was found to be having Drugs in his/her possession, or Drug Trafficking, then Person B would be executed through Hanging.
Process
The Supreme High Court sentences the person to death after the convict pleads guilty with enough evidence. The Judge would consult the Committee for Execution on what method of execution should they use. This process usually takes about one day to complete. On the next day after the sentencing, the judge would inform the Prison on what Method they have decided. However, the criminal, would only know when is the date of his/her execution, but would not know what method the Judge has decided. The criminal would be on death row for at least 1 week.
On the day of the execution, the criminal would wear his/her favourite clothing, eat his/her last meal, which the meal consist of the things the criminal loves to eat. After the 2 processes, the criminal would be sent to a room, where he/her would meet his/her loved ones for the final time. After that, the crimanal would be bought to the execution venue. He/she would then confirm his/her particulars, and would be asked if he/she has any last words/last wishes. After all those, the criminal would be executed privately with 4 officers and a doctor on duty. Once the criminal is dead, the doctor would confirm the death of the criminal. The body would then be cremated and scattered in sea. The death of the criminal must be reported directly to the Central Government for acknowledgement. The family of the criminal would be informed and would receive a Death Certificate of the Criminal from the Prison. This marks the end of the execution process.

We don't have the death penalty any more in Waspeaters, but when we did, it tended to be hanging. The criminal would be hanged by the neck until death, often publicly, although public executions were made illegal in 1887. In times of war, we also used a firing squad to execute deserters and spies.

Instead of capital punishment, the convicted is banished. He or she is chased out of the country by the people and Molynons. If caught, he is killed by them. If not, he can never return, or he will be killed by the first person or Molynon that recognizes him.

We don't have the death penalty, as we see it as a breach of rights. Of course, we still send the worse of criminals to mental institutions, which some like to call "A fate worse then death."

If your nation has capital punishment what is the process?

In Britannia, if the condemned has been found guilty and sentenced to death. The prisoner is brought to death row to await when the execution date is set.
Then once the date is confirmed the prisoner is sent 3 documents: their last will and testimony, A copy of their execution date explaining as well what rights they are now entitled to, and a last meal menu.

Then the day of execution comes. The prisoner is lead to the death chamber which has the enormous wooden hanging structure and chairs for members of the public to sit. The prisoner is entitled to request a priest to pray with. once the priest is finished the prisoner is escorted up the steps and the rope is placed around his or her neck. The head prison officer will then say: (full name) you have been convicted on this day to hang by the neck until death in accordance with the laws of Britannia and her empire, is there anything you would like to say before sentence is carried out?

Once the prisoner has said their piece, a black hood will be placed over their head and the prison officer will nod at the executioner who will pull the lever and hang the prisoner. A doctor will then check their pulse and officially pronounce them dead.

We only use the death penalty for harm against the monarch, their heirs, or the royal family.

Capital Punishment in Ontorisa was banned in 1806 due to the fact that law had improved and Law Officials found that imprisoning criminals for life is actually punishment rather than just killing them right away.

A single case of Sexual assault is punished by castration and 15 years of labor however a serial rapist (Committed more than one act of sexual assault) will be subject to execution by Firing Squad.

Murder

A single case of murder is usually punished by life in imprisonment or if it was Man Slaughter, 30 years of labor. Serial killers are sentenced to execution by Firing Squad.

Treason

Treason is a crime that threatens the security of the state or threatens the Premier. This is always punished by execution via Firing Squad or being deported off world.

Terrorism

Terrorists are never given a place in prison and are immediately sentenced to execution via Firing Squad.

In the Empire of Forsaken Evil, crime is a very serious matter. Certain crimes fall under an act that has enabled the execution of all principals of said crimes, should they be convicted. Nearly all violent crime falls under this act, all sex crimes fall under this act, and treason falls under this act. Should you be convicted, you will promptly be allowed to say farewell to any of your loved ones and then executed by firing squad. There is a loophole to the execution however, if you are to plead insanity, you will be secured in an asylum and rehabilitated. This process is the punishment for all other crimes that do not fall under the Execution act. Once it is believed you will no longer break the law and that you will be a productive member of society, you will be released. If improvement is not shown for a certain period of time which is dependent on the crime, execution will be authorized and farewells will be allowed. For the most part, getting convicted of crime in Forsaken Evil is either a death sentence or a good 5 years locked away. This system combined with the encouragement to be productive make Forsaken Evil a very safe place.

A long, three-week trial of the accused takes place, to ascertain whether:

• they are guilty of the crime,
• there is no chance whatsoever of a miscarriage of justice (e.g. due to faulty evidence),
• they have no mental illness that may have caused them to commit the crime.

Once this criteria has been fulfilled, the type of execution carried out depends on the crime.

• Murderers who use a close-range melee weapon (knife, baseball bat, etc.) are beheaded.
• Murderers who use a firearm or other long-range weapon, such as a bow, are shot by a firing squad.
• Murderers who use a chemical, such as a poison, are gassed.
• Thieves and sexual offenders are hanged.
• Religious criminals (e.g. jihadists) are shot by a firing squad.

If the person is a terrorist and found guilty, they are taken out of the court room and executed on the spot with a shot to the back of the head.

For all other cases, the accused is allowed 2 weeks to appeal. If they do not appeal the decision, they will be executed by firing squad and have their organs harvested for medical use.

Some lenient judges have sentenced the accused to work as a human 'guinea pig' rather than execution. This way, society can benefit as their demise may bring about new cures to diseases, or new weapons to use on our enemies.

[TurtleShroom]

In TurtleShroom, capital punishment is more humane than prison and less exhausting. TurtleShroom executes by the electric chair, the gallows, lethal injection, and guilliotine. We consider ourselves above mutilation (although sex offenders and rapists are surgically, physically castrated, death or not) and perform private executions.

Capital punishment demands a fair trial and a conviction "beyond any reasonable doubt". Death Rown inmates may appeal solely on the argument that the evidence in fact points to innocence or has errors and "holes". Most appeals are rejected, but the right of appeal is still encouraged. The minimum wait time for execution is a fortnight, and the maximum is one year. The law requires their case to be reopened and examined by the police in order to see if any evidence was missing or points against his death.

TurtleShroom has thirty prisons that are capable of executing criminals. All thirty use the same process. Only the state can put a creature to death, despite all major/dedicated prisons being run only by private companies.


Judges have the option to show mercy and commute the capital punishment to life in prison, but once they make either decision, they can not revoke it. (Most prisoners sentenced for life wish they were executed instead.)

As soon as a sentence is passed the soon to be executed is taken into the dungeons or if it is a field execution he is taken to the nearest inn that can be cleared. The prisoner is then put into a chair and given mead or beer to strengthen his spirit and after that a priest is called for the prisoner to confess and then give the last rites. The prisoner is then led before a gauntlet of soldiers who have the duty of not looking them in the eye or acknowledging them and then they must pass through a gathering of locals who are there to observe the prisoner and the execution before they are put before the chosen execution method. If it is a firing squad the accused must stand against a pole in the ground strapped to the pole in front of 7 soldiers who then each fire one round at the accused and then a chosen officer walks up to the prisoner and then the officer places his revolver against their head and fires one round before each of the soldiers turns their guns to the sky and fires off one more round. If they are to be hung they are led up to the gallows where a Captain from the Imperial Army reads out the charges and then the crowd are to shout back guilty and the person is placed into the noose and an executioner unexpectedly pulls the lever and the accused drops to their death. If they are to be beheaded the person who gives the judgement also has to swing their chosen weapon and normally the executioner is taken to another room to steady their nerves and then they do the deed.
