Your nations execution process

Postby Britannia I » Thu May 30, 2013 10:24 am

If your nation has capital punishment what is the process?

In Britannia, People who face a death sentence can request a mercy plea. This means that the evidence is fully examined again and unless they are 100% the condemned is responsible for the crime(s) is then officially declared guilty and sentenced to death. The prisoner is brought to death row to await when the execution date is set.
Then once the date is confirmed the prisoner is sent 3 documents: their last will and testimony, A copy of their execution date explaining as well what rights they are now entitled to, and a last meal menu.

Then the day of execution comes. The prisoner is lead to the death chamber which has the enormous wooden hanging structure and chairs for members of the public to sit. The prisoner is entitled to request a priest to pray with. once the priest is finished the prisoner is escorted up the steps and the rope is placed around his or her neck. The head prison officer will then say: (full name) you have been convicted on this day to hang by the neck until death in accordance with the laws of Britannia and her empire, is there anything you would like to say before sentence is carried out?

Once the prisoner has said their piece, a black hood will be placed over their head and the prison officer will nod at the executioner who will pull the lever and hang the prisoner. A doctor will then check their pulse and officially pronounce them dead.

Murder: Public Hanging
Homosexuality: Testicles are cut off and shoved down the throat of the criminal to choke them to death. If that doesn't work a public burning
Rape: Testicles and penis chopped off and the criminal is chained up outside to die of heat stroke, blood loss, and/or starvation.

Out of all countries, we believe we have the most humane type of execution.

This happens when someone is sentenced to give up certain amounts of money or goods, but refuses to do so. The creditor can then sue a writ of execution in court against the debtor, when, if deemed necessary by the court, the writ will be executed, to the satisfaction of the original judgment.

The executor of such a writ is usually the local sheriff, who is usually told to take possession of the unjustly obtained money or goods and turn them over to the proper owner.

Process:

1 - Somebody, A, obtains favourable judgment in damages or cost, or other benefits.
2 - The other party, B, refuses to obey judgment.
3 - A gets a 'writ of execution [of judgment]' issued out of the Chancery.
4 - A sues this writ in court.
5 - Court deems the writ necessary and grants execution.
6 - Writ issued to the local sheriff, and the writ is accordingly executed.

The criminal is put into a room forever until he dies.
Once he dies, his selected person will pray and we will burn his body.

If the crime is punishable by capital punishment, then they will go through a Capital Tribunal as well as the normal court. If found guilty in the the court, but innocent in the tribunal, or vice versa, then the court gives the final verdict. If found guilty of both, then death is by firing squad. Seriously, what the f**k is with you sick bastards and your mutilation?

It depends on the crime, but hanging is the punishment for the worst sort of crimes, (murder, rape, treason, etc.). Any other execution is by lethal injection and other, less painful, procedures.

Our execution process? Simple.

Step 1 - Take convicted prisoner
Step 2 - Make them dead

1.Set the execution date. Which is always 3 months after sentence.
2. Put them in solitary confinement.
3. Give them documents for their Will.
4. Execution by Electric Chair or Firing Squad.

Before the death penalty was banned in the early 60s it was carried out upon murderers and those guilty of treason. The person would be offered a last meal, will have a small audience of up to ten family/friends, a physician, a lawyer and the prison warden, along with a few police and the victims family, if they want to be there. They would be allowed to speak for 2 minutes maximum, then be knelt down, and shot in the back of the head. 69 people were executed in Solsteim as a democratic nation.

The prisoner goes to the Supreme Court where he is tried by representatives of very religion, race and political background. If they find the prisoner guilty then he or she must wait for forty days in prison.

The convicted person will then be taken from the prison and sent to the parliament building where every member of the upper and lower houses will question the convicted person. The forty day waiting period was so that the government could arrange for the people of the country to watch the proceeding in parliament and so they can register their decision, execution or no execution.

The convicted person will then if not found guilty be ensnared for ten years before being released on the Sultans farms or, if found guilty, be given the food that the Sultan eats and given his last rites. The convict can then file one final appeal with the Sultan and if the Sultan chooses to accept, the the convicted person will be fought to the imperial palace to be questioned by the Sultan, his court and the diplomats from the Embassy. this is the final hope for the convict. If the convict is found not guilty then will be freed on the condition that he or she works with the Sultan for the rest of his/her life. If the convict is found guilty, then he or she will be sent to the execution square and shot before having the body embalmed and put in a vault which grows steadily every few years.

The death sentence has only been used three times in the 21st century for murder of two military officers, the dumping of toxic waste into the water supply and most recently, the murder of four homosexuals by an anti homosexual rights person.

The Legion has a very simple method- they're placed in a Penal battalion, and sent into battle in front of the regular army.

The survivors are set free. The rest are dead.

We also occasionally use cliffs when we're not at war.

Once the criminal is sentenced to die, the judge will set a date and a method of execution, both of which are approved by the district's Correctional Facility head. The date is usually about a month after the sentence, and methods vary according to the crime. The criminal is sent to Death Camp, where he receives his identification implants, microscopic implants that act as trackers and identification for a federal level as a capital offender, that all criminals of felonies or higher are given. Death Camp is essentially a high-security prison for inmates sentenced to die, where they are to work on projects to benefit the State (usually manual and unskilled labor) until their date. They are also given the opportunity to write a will and to organize a last meal.

The execution process is known as an "implant shock." The identification implants inserted into the body of the criminal, at this point, have scattered throughout the cells of his/her body and have become a part of his DNA. Through a long override process, only a few people per district know how to shut these implants down, causing the body of the criminal to shut down instantly. It is a painless death.

Before we abolished capital punishment in 1984, this was the process:

1. Criminal is apprehended.
2. Criminal is indicted and arraigned.
3. Criminal goes through pre-trial hearings such as plea hearings.
4. Criminal goes through trial (if he/she pleads not guilty or no contest).
5. Criminal is convicted (not always).
6. Prosecutor pushes for the death penalty and/or the criminal asks to be executed.
7. A three-judge panel sentences the convict to death (edit: not always).
8. Criminal goes through one mandatory appeal and one optional appeal that must be granted on request.
9. Criminal continues to appeal sentence (lasts an average of 6 months)
10. Execution warrant is signed.
11. 72 hours prior to execution, criminal is notified of his/her execution date and is moved to condemned cell adjacent to the gallows.
12. 1-2 days before execution, criminal is weighed and examined to determine the proper length of drop.
13. 1-2 days before execution, rope is boiled to avoid recoiling.
14. 24 hours before execution, a sandbag is attached to the rope and the trapdoor is opened; this stretches the rope to avoid recoil.
15. Criminal gets his/her choice of religious counsel.
16. 30 minutes before execution, criminal makes a final statement on tape recorder.
17. 5 minutes before execution, a call is placed to the Ministry of Justice to make sure the sentence has not been commuted or a stay has not been issued.
18. About 30 seconds before execution, the inmate's hands are cuffed behind his/her back and is hooded unless the inmate requests not to be hooded. The execution warrant is read during this process and the inmate is led toward the gallows.
19. About 4 seconds before execution, the inmate stands on the trapdoor and his/her legs are cuffed and the rope is placed around his/her neck.
20. The hangman ensures that no one but the criminal(s) (often, 2 or 3 people were hanged at once) are standing on the trapdoor.
21. The hangman pulls the lever, and the trapdoor opens, causing the inmates to fall and their necks to break.
22. Death occurs quickly.
23. 5 minutes after the trap is opened, a doctor goes to the basement to check if the inmate(s) are dead.
24. The inmate(s) are left to hang for around 20 minutes to ensure total brain death.
25. The family of the condemned is notified of execution. They are asked if they want the body.
26. If the family does not want the body or the inmate has no family, he/she is buried in the prison cemetery.

The last hanging occurred in 1979, when John Barber was hanged for the murders of his wife and daughter.

EDIT: All executions took place at 6:00 AM.

It depends on the crine.

Theft: If the sum of the theft is greater than <G>750,000, then the victim is subject to execution, but not always. If the sum of the theft is greater than <G>1,000,000, then the victim is executed by firing squad in a jail courtyard

Murder: If the persons killed are three or higher, then the person is subject to execution, but not always. If the amount of persons killed excede five, then the person is executed no matter what. Executions for murder tend to take place near the City Hall and are either hung or killed by firing squad

Terrorism: If any person is caught comitting an act of terrorism inside of the Empire, they are executed immediatly. The person(s) are executed right in front of the Capitol Building by hanging.
Account may or may not be alive or dead. We'll see what happens
