I'm pretty sure that's one of Browning's lever action rifles that he converted into a semi automatic prototype. I can't really tell if it has the magazine though, due to the image size. Maybe that's just a myth though.

The gases coming out of the barrel push on some thingamabob muzzle device and it moves the lever forward, with a spring returning it onto place.

As it turns out, if you add too many rounds to the site it prevents you from going back there for a month or two and then deletes all your presets.
