It's separate from the pencil tool? That's one of the dumbest things I've ever heard.

Of course it is separate. One is for drawing strait lines and the other for freehanding. It is infinitely better than having some obscure button like CTRL or SHIFT that you have to either be told about or run into by random poking.

When I opened my picture, it looks as if there's another white rectangle underneath half the image.

There is a giant white rectangle that represents your paper. And than a gray background. But that should be it.

That's not nearly as convenient as holding ctrl and zooming with the scroll wheel.

But it is infinitely more accurate thus lending to a higher quality of drawing overall.

I draw with the pencil tool, but when I let go of my mouse button everything I just drew disappears.

That is something I can't even replicate. Than again as said I am using Macromedia Flash which seems to be just that much better.

Well if we are going to be sharing ammo boxes here is mine. This one has been sitting in a museum for a long, long time.

The white space is the canvas. Make your picture smaller or make the canvas bigger.

The lines disappear because you haven't added a new layer.

Watch some tutorial videos before asking here. There are plenty.

That's the thing though. That's my point.
I should have to jump through thirty hoops just to draw a damn straight line, and for some reason with Flash I do.

If so, you must jump through those hoops and try do a back flip each time you jump.

I have never drank tea in my life nor have I drank alcohol. I always thought just tea was the most British one could get?

Also, I was never aware the Germans used the FN FAL.

Bit of yes bit of no. The muzzle device, while used on the TKB, was used on several other small arms before hand. The receiver I will admit is the TKB-0111s, I just like the way it looked and felt.
The Butt I'm actually proud of, I drew that without a reference picture at all.

It says on the bottom of the screen when you select the pencil tool: "Hold SHFT for straight lines. Hold CTRL for constrained angles."

Why so extraneous? That seems like needless manufacturing and technical complexity. Plus, what if the rifle gets scuffed during use? That fancy QR code is now useless. ಠ_ಠ

Yup the germans adopted it as the G1 in 1956. After buying the first 100,00 for the Bundeswehr the germans asked for a license and the belgians told them to bugger off. Pretty much only the spanish were willing to sell the germans small arms licenses so the CETME then became the G3.

maybe if you are working on an RL scale of production, but this is NS where having a QR code helps no end with manufacture, shipping and storage.
