Look at those Rounds though... they're huge. They need the spring to be Extra strong.

The magazine spring typically takes up about a third of the magazine when fully depressed. This one's really not that unusual.

Ok just in case anyone finds it, I have posted the 'Military Ground Vehicles of Your Nation (5)' a tad early as I am probably not going to be here over the weekend, so if you could continue posting in the mark 4 (viewtopic.php?f=23&t=174604) until its shut in 5 pages that would be just dandy.

Yes, when you select a tool, the settings of the tool pop up in the toolbox, and you can set opacitty, size, colour etc.

Theres also an airbrush tool I tried which I did'nt like.

Alright. Select the color of the section you want to shade.
Make a new layer.
Turn down its opacity.
Decide which side the light is coming in from.
On the side closer to the light, go over the edges of the figure with a line slightly lighter than the one you seleceted.
On the other side go over the edges with a slightly darker line.
Apply a blur to the layer if you like.
Erase any bleed.

Boom. Shading in a minute.
Unreachable.

Gentlemen (And ladies where applicable), I have a fantastic weapon to announce, the finished and refined product, a rotary 20 round drum for the 35mm ammunition, it's mechanism has been reconfigured to fire only in three shell volleys, meaning less volatile, safer on the mechanism and user. Overall, an awesome improvement. Plus, the damn thing has a soviet-maxim style mobility carriage just to put the proverbial icing on the ballistic cake.

You sure? The soviets didn't have large wheels on their maxim mounts. Didn't need em'. I'll fiddle around though, and see what can happen.

So Spree has somewhat Shot me down in regards to my ultra light mg-42 SAW( thanks for the help spree I was being a little too optimistic). So I'm starting to think On Following beno's basic premise and Designing a An-94 Based SAW and DMR. Anyone Got any Data on the Upper limits on the An-94's Action? I was thinking a 7.62X54R for the DMR and the IAR should be pretty simple as insofar as it's a lengthened heavier barrel with integral Bipod....not much else. being titled RPN-07 and SVN-07.

So finally I was thinking about a Infantry Unit breakdown...
I currently have a 4 Squad platoon
3 of the for squads are standard:
18 men divided into 4 Fire teams of 4 each with a separate 2 man team.
4X Marksmen: PSL and IDC (Individual Defense Carbine)
2X SAW's (RPKM)
2X MG(PKP, IDC)
2X Grenadiers (AN-07, Gp-30)
6X riflemen (AN-07 RPG-28)
2X Kord MG Crew( 1 Kord MG, both are issued IDC's)

While the other is a scouting/support squad:
18 men divided into 4 Fire teams of 4 each with a separate 2 man team.
8X Marksmen: PSL and IDC (Individual Defense Carbine)
2X MG (PKP IDC)
6X riflemen (AN-07 RPG-28)
1X spotter: (An-04 GP-30)
1X sniper (PSl 9.3X64 or KSVK)

I was also thinking Of attaching a Heavy weapons Fire team to the platoon, Consisting of an Air defense weapon as well as a Dedicated Anti-Armor weapon Along with another KORD 2 man team for a Slightly larger 6 man team any suggestions for the heavy weapons? This brings the total for my platoon to 78 Enlisted add in a command Detachment consisting of an officer and Platoon sergeant to bring it to a nice round 80 Soldiers in a platoon, about twice the strength of a traditional platoon.... anyone see any issues?

The ANs action should really only be for the AN. The shifted pulse system was never intended to be used on larger calibers or really anything else.

Guided anti-tank and MANPADs should be at the company level for distribution if required. However there should be a MANPADs section at the company level, or a self-propelled SPAAG w/ SAMs.

EDIT: Apparently I missed some of it. It uses the mag as a grip for no real reason, and has a folding stock with a wooden bit on the end.

Nothing particularly odd about that, just about firearm producing has a wierd folding SMG with odd grips and questionable ergonomics hiding somewhere in thier 1930s-1980s back catalogue.
