Well, sort of. I've always preferred Batman personally, but Ironman qualifies as well. What gives him the right to brag, even if it makes him look like a douche, is the fact that he can actually back it up in a world where most people can't. On an online forum like nationstates, where you can do pretty much whatever the hell you want, be pretty much whatever the hell you want, Having the ability is irrelevant, since anybody can. It's how you conduct yourself that matters. The key to not being a wanker is a combination of selecting traits that are both realistic for your setting and not overly Mary Sue-esque, and being able to play those traits in a manner that makes it perfectly clear that you are not all-powerful, that you have weaknesses and moral shortcomings, and are prepared to allow them to be exploited. Coupled with OOC humility.

Basically, don't be a wanker, and don't sing your own praises. If they make for a song worth hearing, others will.

Bad things:

-Sub-par ammunition.

6.8 SPC is better. Can be used in 5.56 magazines, but has the power of a larger round.

The US did a study. They basically said that 6.5mm was the best accuracy/recoil diameter and 7mm was the best power/recoil diameter. 6.8mm offered good accuracy and good power.

The Volkermetall Gevär Modell 15 Avancera 1 (G-15A1) is the Blakullaran military's primary issue combat rifle.



The rifle itself (1) is made from advanced plastic polymers which make the rifle extremely lightweight and the aluminium rails on the top and bottom of the receiver allow for a wide range of attachments to be fitted to the rifle. The gun has four settings: safety, semi-automatic, three-round burst, and fully-automatic. Lower attachments include an ultraviolet laser (2A), a flashlight (2B), an ergonomic grip (2C) and a pistol fore grip (2D). The two grips are dependent on how the weapon feels in the user's hands.

The UGL-15 (3A) is a compressed-air grenade launcher which fires 30mm shells up to distances of 500m. Such shells contain a variety of elements, but the most common ones are High Explosive (3B), Canister Shot (3C) and Chemical Shells (3D).

The G-15A1 is chambered to fire either 5.56x45mm (4A) or 6.5x48mm (4B), and a brief diagram of each shot can be seen in 4C. The 5.56mm magazine contains 35 rounds, while the 6.5mm magazine contains 30 rounds.

The most common sight on the rifle is the Q-15 (5A), which is a variable magnification red-dot sight equipped with an automatic rangefinder which allows the user to adjust the sight's zeroing with greater ease. The Q-20 (5B) is a sight used by squad, platoon or company commanders when out in the field. It is directly linked to the officer's implanted neuronet processor and tells the officer what each soldier is pointing their rifle at, helping the team to relay targets to the CO and each other.

I'm going to copy/pasta a paragraph about Ulfran war chants. To be precise, one of the war-chants used by Krigprestur to channel, focus and call upon the haterage of their ancestors, not to mention, the gift given unto them as a people by their gods.


Said paragraph, in decent paraphrasing:

Krigprestur Arngreirsen began to make a slow monotonous beat on his shield so-as-to set the par for a ritual, in said ritual the Ulfran FIAsoldate would slowly and rhythmically smack their gauntlet-clad fists against their steel-ceramic layered body armor; to be precise, their chest plates. ‘thump-thump-thump’ followed by a chant in Ulfran Norgersk, “Várr dreyrugr brandrar vili skapa en messa gildr og Sjørra’ hrafnenar, þeir vili hafa en nár-boð så mikill sem den tivar sjálfir verða fá þekkja og várr blóð-unnið dýrk.”(“Our blood-stained blades will create a feast day worthy of Sjørr’s ravens; they will have a corpse-feast so great that the gods themselves must take notice of our blood-earned glory.”) ‘thump-thump-thump’ repeated the thumping of armored fist against maille. Arngreirsen let loose a bellowing roar, then a final, short chant that was carried on ounce more, from all the drop boats carrying the FIAsoldate Battalion. “Kné hár í blóð vér sceal være, við dýrk vér sæk | En hreysti-oullu dauði vér ðlask, Úlfr er salr bíður | En hreysti-oullu vér skal fá, eða en sigr-blóta vér skal gøra.”(“Knee high in blood we shall be, to glory we charge| A valor-wrought death we earn, Ulfr’s hall awaits | A valor-wrought death we shall take, or a victory-sacrifice we shall make.”) The rhythmic slamming of gauntlet against maille grew faster and faster, the pace quickened, causing the drop boat’s Fordorsian driver’s to cringe a-little, the beastly, occasionally lupine-esc or otherworldly arctic blue eyes of the Ulfran FIAsoldate seemed to dilate, as if a dark presence were filling their very being (collectively anyhow), ending with a bellowing ear shattering roar from each Ulfran throat as the beach was literally a stone’s throw away, followed by the FIAsoldate Jumping off the boats and charging up the shore en` masse, howling and bellowing, thirsting for blood and meat like rabid beasts.

...or just avoid the 5.56/7.62 and go for the .280 British

What's the performance difference of your 7.62X40? Is it a lengthened 7.62X39 or a shortened 7.52X51? those are by best guesses.
