Yeah, the process would actually be brilliant for indigenous weapons production in post war, ex-colonies. Interesting idea. As for the FG42s, that sounds more feasible in 7.62. I haven't fired 7.62, but .303 has a fine kick.

See, I was thinking that the Gerat 06/STG45 following the aforementioned local production/native with all the kinks and gubbins ironed out with a refined manufacturing process could act as a "cornerstone" tech for said nation, and acting as a stepping stone for future rifle stylings and technologies.

Though, I did just have another thought on quasi-retrofitted and altered arsenals. Take a Krag-Jørgensen magazine, slap on a toggle lock, or Ljungmann AG-42 mechanism, then deliver the reliability of the SVT 40. And, of all damn things, chamber it in 6.5×54mm Mannlicher-Schönauer. A glorious hybrid rifle, allowing for an enormous amount of flexibility in the field. With a simple modification, it could feed like a Johnson M1941 (the feed mechanism only), and could utilize side-loading box magazine.

Just another "trigger thought" involving firearm design.

Oh, another one, a Krag-Jørgensen magazine utilized in a shotgun design somehow.

If your Canadian, SVT-40 is amazing and in Canada are about as much as an SKS here in the USA.

If you are USA, the SKS is easier to find and costs about 60% less than the SVT-40 (350 vs. 850).

If you want, I can tell you what to look for in an SKS.

Thats about right, though prices have risen a bit, and fluctuate between 300 and 700. The Chinese carbines tend to go for the most, as far as I've seen.

A new revolver I have been working on. I have 3 other variants drawn, including one that has a wooden bit under the barrel for some reason, which I have not thought of a real purpose for besides looks. I primarily drew inspiration from various Colt designs, and hence used their stats as a basis, but certain bits were inspired by the revolver in the Metro (Metro 2033, Last Light) series. Though it is a revolver, and hence fairly simple, I still have some work to do, but would like to hear any questions, comments, or concerns others may have.

Norinco SKS' are the best models for the money. Russian's are about the best you can get. I have been looking for an East German Karabiner-S or Albanian "10 Korrik Pushkë/July 10 Rifle".

I'd take a really shiny barrel over a tacticrap handguard anyday.

We kept it for the length of our deployment then handed it over to be destroyed. That thing was a heavy bitch.
