A complex mafia ran this operation and sold the enslaved persons all around the country to various industries, and it was not uncommon for local police to turn a blind eye. The government addressed this issue when it was brought up however, taking a firm stance on religious tolerance in a mainly anti-theist country. The government had poured lots of money into police departments and federal agencies to crack down on illegal labor, although this was not popular with a majority of citizens at the time. However over time, it has become socially acceptable for slavery to be unthinkable in modern Delenial, and is virtually non-existent at this period in time.

You are the ones claiming to be moral, so you should put the utmost importance on what those people want. Yet you very clearly do not give one whit about their desires or well-being. And since you pretend to be good while doing your evil, you are actually far more evil than any Decepticon ever has been.
