We have legal gender equality but culturally speaking Auzkhia is patriarchal. It isn't as strong as it used to be but males usually have more power in society compared to females.

Since the absence of family and childbirth in our species no longer places certain obligations on our womenfolk, there's not really much reasons left to treat them differently from men.

Women are only allowed to have sex with men. (and vice-versa) Women may also not style themselves like a man. (and vice-versa) Beyond that, very few to no double-standards exist for women. They are treated only on a minor basis, since females are traditionally expected to stay home to look after their offspring but do have a good amount of freedom of movement and such as well as being able to get jobs once the children grow old enough to not rely on the parents as much as they were when they were infants. Otherwise, they are largely equal with males with different cultural rules befitting the different races/species and their ways of life.

Commoners don't care what you've got down there, but our "nobility" are an interesting case. While the men are learning to ride horses and fence, the women are learning to drive tanks and fire machine guns. That said, it is often expected for men and women to act differently in different situations and thus approach things such as careers, sports, etc. in different ways, but those who do not are not usually discriminated against, and never in a legal sense.
