No. Never. The King maintains close relationships with, so-called, "criminal organizations" throughout the world. Distruzian banks and financial institutions regularly lend to such organizations with the kings blessings. As such, those organizations with whom the King and his Realm have dealings maintain a vested interest in seeing the Anarcho-Monarchist Realm prosper.

The King never deploys Distruzians to wage war on foreign soil... for those willing to fight for his honor are already abroad right beneath the noses of foreign govts. In this way, organizations such as La Cosa Nostra, the Yakuza, 'Ndrangheta, and others act as Distruzios weapon of direct retaliation. They strike anywhere, anyway, and with precision against the very individuals affronting the Kings honor. Collateral damage from warfare with Distruzio is therefore all but eliminated as there are no bombs, armies, or economic sanctions instituted against the public of foreign nations. Only swift, precise, and violent retribution.

Well, of course we have some. But they're museum pieces. Back when we actually fought on planets in a serious manner we used them as our primary mortar/artillery munition though. Now we prefer nanomunition and sonic weapons, they're a lot more entertaining and we don't actually care about planetary warfare anymore.

In space combat, nuclear weapons are one of those things that are too powerful for efficient use as a point defense weapon, and too weak for use against planets or other spacecraft, especially compared to particle acceleration weapons and coherent radiation weapons (lasers, masers, ect.).

Nuclear power sources are a whole different story, especially fusion-based ones. They're not as efficient as antimatter in their basic form, but they're a lot more adaptable and stable. As such, they're better for planetary things. Antimatter-based power still works well enough for space things, though not as good as monopole catalyzed fusion drives. Cheaper and a lot simpler though.

Yes, Pavonistade possesses nukes since 1969. Though the numbers of nuclear missiles and warheads have drastically decreased after the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991, our nation still has a large nuclear arsenal across the mainland and we have very effective anti-ICBM and anti-nuclear defense systems and equipments.

We've had a functional nuclear armament for some time now, as well as various biological and chemical weapons should we need them. We are constantly improving upon our weapons, as well as active countermeasures to prevent their use against us by an enemy nation. The exact number of such weapons is highly classified material, as mandated by the Federal Department of Defense, however experts say there are probably around 3,000 nuclear weapons in our stockpile in various forms such as ICBMs, bombs, and even in cruise missiles. Several Mallaskan naval vessels were also recently launched with a nuclear armament as a result of high tensions with our enemy Keymoa as to deter any thoughts of a nuclear strike.

The former pre-war Nazi government possessed 4,371 Nuclear Missiles.

Then, in the 2015 Wars, 3,370 were launched.

1,001 survived, and now multiple private companies and state militias are working to build more. The nuclear count is on the rise.

Dear Sir, Mrs., Miss, or Other

Thank you for your inquiry into our status as a nuclear power. I think you mean a nukular power because nukular blows up, and nuclear are little tiney things what can't be seen without an electric telescope.

Official records are sketchy, but we might have had a nuke. Seems it was making the postal workers in the main warehouse ill. Records possibly indicate that the offending crate was raffled off to a member of the Safety Protocol Management Office of the United Pineapple Syndicate, Inc, but before he could receive the prize it was intercepted by an envoy of the Benevolance Armed Task Force of the Sugar-Cane Amalgamated Co-op. That man was later found in the hospital allegedly mugged by an underpaid member of the City Constabulary. The constable was docked another three months pay and mildly reprimanded for his temporary lapse in judgment.

We have since mailed the crate to the World Assembly, in hopes that they will have a better use for it.

Not to worry though, the radioactively contaminated warehouse and its contents were dismantled and dropped into the Maryannas Trench.

So, yes, we can definitely say we are nuke free.

Thank you for your interest in the Free Land of the Rugged Coast
Sincerely,

Guido Tobias Martinez-Les Blanc-vanHuus-Martinez
