Uruki, the former Capital of the historical Kingdom of the same Name who dared to oppose the Dark Overlord during the etablishment of the Imperial Order has been completly razed during said war.

The surrounding soil got sowed with Salt, the surviving population sold into slavery. The City remains as ruins, as a warning what happens to those who dare to oppose the Overlord.

The ancient city of Darkaan is our one and only 'city in ruin' - it is classified as a historical landmark, however it is still inhabited today, despite its primitive accommodations. A gentle renovation project is underway to keep it from deteriorating even further, although since it is a 4,000+ year old city, this is expected. Preservation is paramount.

Recently? In 2012, an accident at the newly finished Haskovo Nuclear Power Plant in the southeastern part of the Union member state Bulgaria resulted in the abandonment of Haskovo. A second accident in 2032 resulted in a military security perimeter zone being placed around Belene, though the rumors of untold riches to be found within' have led to people getting in anyway.

Alsf City is the only ruined city in Myacumma, and appears like a modern Myacumman city except for the fact that it lacks a port or people, and is heavily irradiated. This is because, during the glorious revolution, an enemy agent destroyed the port and power plant, causing the citizens and soldiers in the city to die of radiation sickness and starvation

Following a nuclear power plant accident in 1986, the governments controlling an area of what is now Vorodzhnya Province have blocked off for nearly three decades now. The cities of Chornobyl, Rivnehov, Pryp'utich, Choyniki, and Chopmyshl have been off-limits to citizens since then. The area is now a giant ghost town.

Guadalupador's largest city, Nosamo, like many more of our cities were ravaged by nuclear missiles. Rebuilding efforts have begun, the radiation is being cleaned up, so that the only really dangerous pockets of radiation come from the hypocenter/crater, from the missile that hit near midtown.

Cause:natural disaster by effect of man-made ones. Suffice to say, the land holding it up could only hold so much and was allready cracking under the pressure and threatening to give way at any moment when a nearby explosion, turning a nearby city into ruins, sent reverbating shockwaves across this city, sinking it partially into underground caves forced into being by the weight of the city above it, and the rest into the sea beyond. Kind of like Old Sol from sky atlas. It is still used to this day, but no more add ons other than extending an apartment size more have been allowed due to the travesty having allready befallen it. It is one of only a handful of cities we know of in the partially landlocked Aegas sea. The east side is open, rest land locked by the frozen tundra of the Esque island chain up north.

Largest historical city ruins:peyote
Cause: unknown but presumed a mix of natural disaster causes and gas attack due to the noxious radiated gas fumes and mummified corpses still there to this day. Built into and partially carved out of the Reyasem plateau. Even a few skyscrapers and other big buildings carved right out of the buttes and cliffs & such. We do not know how far it extends in any direction, especially downward, but it is much more expansive than any we have seen to date.
