In Lidli, attempting to force a portal has been found to be catistrophic so we wait for and trace the opening of a portal naturally which usually constitutes a shaft of light where there shouldnt be or a part of space that seems warbled like looking through warped glass.
Citizins are strongly advised against going near or in these portals due to the lack of knowledge about them and possibility of hostiles on the other side as we have mostly experienced. Weither it be the planet itself or we walk into a warzone, horror seems to outweigh benign when we send people over. Veriety of wars or averted ones in written history being flipped, advancements in culture/science/general life being non existant and so forth... In one, the planet was a barely touched landscape of tropics rainforest and mostly temperate jungle with a mix of sapient tribal humanoid animals and something that looked like a cross between the Asari (mass effect) and the Na'vi (Avatar) of which we have also ran across in other alternates, the former only being seen in images and writtings in a few alternates but never ran into. In this alternate, humans and elves and such, as far as we can figure, never existed or died out in their early stages before their fullfillment. As we are a peacefull (unless provoked) nation, our understandment and use of the portals are limited, mainly due to our unique ability to find dangerous realms boardering on secularly (almost only that).
