U.S.A.

My Nation does NOT reflect my actual political views.
Your test scores indicate that you are an open-minded ultra-progressive; this is the political profile one might associate with a university professor. It appears that you are skeptical towards religion, and have a balanced attitude towards humanity in general.

Your attitudes towards economics appear neither committedly capitalist nor socialist, and combined with your social attitudes this creates the picture of someone who would generally be described as a liberal.

To round out the picture you appear to be, political preference aside, a sensible principled egalitarian with few strong convictions.

None, as such. The ruling party of the Republic of Breheim is the Socialist Worker's Party, a democratic socialist party with a Marxist wing (but also a trade-unionist wing, and a social-democratic wing). The largest Communist Party in Breheim, the fittingly named Communist Party of Breheim, is a Marxist-Leninist party and the 4th largest party in parliament (having received 11.9% in the 2012 election).

People's opinion of communism varies quite a bit depending on area, with the majority of northerners having a positive opinion of communism, and a majority of southerners having a negative opinion of communism. Of Breheim's five largest cities, the Communist Party is only represented in two (the capital of Storvik and the northern city of Odinberg). Overally, the Communist Party have historically had a stable popularity of 4-6%, although with the loss of faith in the Socialist Worker's Party in recent years, they have managed to attract a lot of dissatisfied SWP voters.

Our political system is of our own creation (my nation's absurdly-named "merito-demo-centralist" political system is, to the extent of my knowledge, not an actual real-world political ideology (although it does bear resemblances with Chinese politics)).
Our economic system is state socialism at its finest, including state ownership of the vast majority of enterprises and a planned economy.
Is the Dominion communist (going by the actual definition)? No, nor does it aim to be, as its current ideologies work absolutely perfectly, but it does consider itself to be socialist.

Juche isn't communism; at all. It's a form of absolute monarchy with an elaborate cult of personality analogous to the Roman Imperial Cult; though even the worst Caesars were less repressive.

Anyway; we smashed communism out of existence on our Earth back in the 1990s (for reference it's 2338).

We use a mixed economy with an emphasis on socialism. Thus, both capitalist "pigs" and communist "traitors" can do their part and contribute to the Colony's continued existence.

None whatsoever. The public displays of Communist symbols and organizing in support of Communist ideology has been illegal since 1991, in the wake of the May Coup in addition to decades of political violence and unrest at the hands of supporters of the local Communist Party (as well as the bloodbath of the second civil war). Such displays are usually punished by either a hefty fine or jail time lasting up to a few months at the most

In response to the poll, I hope our nation's name is sufficient to answer the question.

We strive to uphold Marx's original ideal of a socialist democracy. We are ideologically opposed to repressive forms of Communism like Stalinism, Maoism, and Juche.

Well, Gorgashia isn't Communist, yet. At the moment, we're still in the Socialist stage, having set up workplace democracy and given the workers control over the means of production. We still use currency and we are still under a state.

However, classes have been almost removed from Gorgashian society, our state is a minarchist one and our municipalities hold Really Really Free Markets about every month. so, we're about a third of the way there.

There are a number of active communist groups in Penang. The five largest political parties are:

The Communist Party of Penang, Marxist (CPPM)
The Communist Party of Penang, Marxist-Leninist (CPPML)
The Maoist Communist Party of Penang (MCPP)
The Party of Liberation and Socialism (PLS)
The Socialist Workers' Party of Penang (SWPP)

Combined these parties routinely gain around 5% of the vote in national elections, however because they spend most of their time squabbling over ideological different and publishing pamphlets denouncing each other, the vote is always split between them. At the moment the CPPM has one representative in Penang's Parliament.

It is illegal. Thirty years ago the Communist Party of Yatakang was crushed by the government, with their leaders executed and anyone suspected of being a Communist sympathizer either executed as well or else deported. It is estimated that over 60,000 people in total were killed. A further 10,000 or so were deported.

Anyone suspected of engaging in revolutionary activities will be arrested on charges of plotting subversion, treason and insurrection.

Do we imprison them?

WE IMPALE THEM.

I highly suggesting reading my factbook entry "the traditional punishment" for a better understanding of this (found here: http://www.nationstates.net/nation=unta ... k/id=95039)

But I will say that in one point of our history, we had something called the "People's Front Massacre of 1944", when after a communist rally was held in the capital city of Tlaxtiquaeruk by a new marxist group calling themselves "The People's Front" (they followed a juche-like ideology), 2.7 million communists where impaled and put on public display and a public declaration of Untaroicht's views on the economic system, in a sort of forest of corpses, if you will.

What VERY FEW communists aren't ruthlessly hunted down by the inquisition, tortured, and executed trhough either skinning alive or "the traditional punishment" are members of the terrorist organization of The People's Front, as while goals once started out to be peaceful, due to the constant harassment by the inquisition, they have turned into violent terrorists just as a way to survive.

Heck, even our bill of rights explicitly states that any civil and human rights do not apply to communists.

Communist Winnipeg has been a socialist/communist democracy for our entire recorded history. The entire concept of capitalism is an odd foreign idea embraced by few radicals within our nation. It has been over 50 years since a pro-capitalist party has received enough votes to gain a seat in our national parliament, although as recently as 1983 one of our central districts had a 'mixed economy' counsellor.

We do not imprison supporters of Communism as they are free to preach their ideas as they wish. That is until it begins to incite violence or calls for laws to be broken. After all we are very tolerant of all ideologies, and hold no prejudice against those we disagree with.
