To own wepons is a duty, not a right. So everbody is equal and not disadvantaged and all invaders can be fought immediately.

Yes, within a set of reasonable restrictions and guidelines. Firearms for manufacture and use within the islands must be bolt-action rifles of barrel-length no less than 100 cm, calibre no greater than 13mm, with a magazine capacity no greater than twenty rounds. Persons must pay to be examined for safe handling procedures before a license to carry may be issued.

There are some exceptions for military personnel and police officers.

yes every citizen who has a clean criminal record has the right to possess weapons. However, they are not allowed to possess military grade weaponry such as automatic weapons and explosives. The only way to possess these is to apply for a Special Weapons Permit.

Kotayki civilians are all part of a reservist militia, and thus all have service rifles and sidearms in their houses. Like the Swiss.

The right to own and use weapons of any type does not exist within Italian legal system. Firearms possession must be authorized by the local Public Security bureau, as well as melee weapons. However, hunting weapons are the only firearms authorized for civilians, while weapons of war are strictly owned and used only by the military, security forces and the party militias.
Knives are widespread and for the most part totally out of regulation, until they have a blade of 30 centimetres or less. Switchblades are considered weapons, no matter for the lenght of the blade, while jackknives are not.

This is dealt with on a planet-by-planet basis. It ranges from planets that ban everything larger than a small nonlethal electroshock weapon to planets where private ownership of heavy artillery is commonplace. Of course, it generally is in the middle of those two extremes. Usually weapons with an energy larger than 1,400 joules are banned in residential areas.

Yes and No. Members of the Ruling National Revolutionary Party have the right to a firearm, however the masses do not, although the masses do take part in yearly Local Milita manouvers and recieve basic firearms training, and all men have served 4 years conscription from the ages of 18 through to 22.

It is legal to own a weapon that is not listed in the Grand Arms Conventions (weapons such as LMGs, explosive weapons, chemical/biological weapons, etc.).

In short, WWII stretched on for decades. Finally, it ended in an Axis victory. The Germans and the Japanese led full-scale assaults on America. We were decimated, and the Germans' new atomic weapons, the Gottbomben, literally tore the country apart. The Nazis annexed what was left, but abandoned their claims after twelve years. In 1983, the various islands of the former "Amerika" joined together out of the nuclear ash, a new nation destined for greatness.

There is no constitutional right to bear arms in the TBRE, and their ownership and usage are regulated under several acts concerning firearms and unconventional weaponry. Most people here are pro-gun control, and there exists a national gun register. Certain gun calibers, types and ammunition sizes may not be owned privately, and ownership of guns is condition on passing a gun test and possessing a gun license. However, the state issues guns out to conscripts that they will keep for the duration of their Home Guard service, although sans ammunition.

Neither police nor citizens bear arms. Resora doesn't even have a standing military; national defense is maintained through the use of a small reserve service and diplomatic and economic pressure on neighboring nations. The Resoran government does not have the authority to take the life of any of its citizens, and its citizens face deportation if they take the life of another in any way. Nonlethal tools are used to apprehend criminals. Gun ownership is illegal in most cases, but the use of legal firearms on any human being is highly illegal, no matter the motivation or circumstances. Stun guns are extremely popular among the paranoid.
The history of progress is written in the blood of men and women who have dared to espouse an unpopular cause.

The right to bear arms is one of the most protected rights in Mallaska. By law, no measure against firearms nor anything utilized as part of a firearm can be regulated by the Mallaskan Federal Govenment, however the right is suspended for those of an unclean criminal record or mental disability. Nearly every law-abiding household owns a gun, about 82% in most areas, and most of these firearms are military-issued, due to the Swiss-styled laws regarding the keeping of service firearms. Guns are probably the biggest piece of Mallaskan culture, and we strongly condemn any nation which restricts the right to bear arms to its citizens. We do submit background checks for each firearm purchase, as it does not hinder the ability of a law-abiding citizen to easily get a firearm but hinder the criminal in such.

There's no such concept; firearm ownership is strongly regulated. You need a licence to own a firearm.

It is legal to own weapons in the Republic. It is lightly regulated with a registry of lawful owners to keep track of legal firearms etc. Beyond that there is little regulation, we see no reason to become Eurasia and check every citizen from their appetite to their arse over such things when regulation just pisses off the lawful man and criminals prosper. As to a "right" to bare arms, there is no such notion, it is a privelge, this is not to say that the common man is restricted, just that if unlawfulness is committed outside of reason (defense of one's self that leads to death etc) that one's arms are revoked; which we believe to be quite reasonable.

The ownership of a firearm, ballistic or otherwise, is limited to government organisations which require them: Civil Defence Rangers, Lemonian military.
Private citizens are not permitted to own any firearms, and the regulations concering blades are similarly strict.
