Bolden does not allow regular citizens to own any kind of gun or sword related weapon. Only public authority figures (cops and such) are allowed to own such weapons.

Those who desire to hunt can earn a license to own a gun related weapon only to hunt. These gun related weapons are to be stored within an authority figure owned gun weapon storage. Those who desire to own any kind of sword related weapon(s) can earn a license to own such a weapon depending on their occupation in which involves this use. These weapons are to be stored within an authority figure owned sword weapon storage. After the person who desires to own a gun or sword related weapon earns their license, they will have to give certain records and take drug tests before they're to receive these kinds of weapons in order to see if they qualify to own such weapons. This must be completed around the time they'd like to receive their weapon and once a year afterwards.

(Of course, people can have cooking / butter knives and such..)

(*points to Orellana's quote in sig*)

Oh yeah, Gorgashians are quite into their guns. Revolutionary spirit and all that jazz.

Albeit, it has led to civil conflicts between Gorgashians turning into gang wars that the government usually requires extreme force to break up.

On the other hand, a populace that engages in gang warfare now and then has proven to be quite effective against violent criminals. In short, criminal gangs don't develop in Gorgashia because civil gangs have filled the niche.

you have an absolute right to have on or about your person, any article or substance you have created yourself. the mass production or importation of firearms is prohibited, (and there's no roads to drive cars on either).
if you can make it, you can have. if you kill anything with it you eat it too.
unless of course you've been convicted of a crime involving the use of it. then you can still have whatever ELSE you might, and are not likely to use in the commission of some other crime.
truth isn't what i say. isn't what you say. isn't what anybody says. truth is what is there, when no one is saying anything.

Not without permission (given confidentially) from a doctor, a friend/family member/co-worker/acquaintance, a medical/mental test and the Head of the Gun Authority, who only issues licenses based on sound and comprehensive reasoning for gun ownership.

Politicians in office are never allowed guns, while there is no army and regular police do not carry guns - those who do are only allowed to shoot when the criminal has the potential and will to seriously injure or kill an officer, while police officers who do shoot unarmed people or intentionally kill anyone are expelled from the force and sentenced (those who did not intend to kill are often expelled from the force anyway), although this is a rare circumstance. Strict sentences are given to those trying to smuggle guns into Fulflood.

As such essentially no gun deaths happen each year.

Only men are allowed to own and use firearms. If you have money, you can keep a firearm.

Women who use firearms (like any self-respecting merchant would sell them one, ha!) are thrown onto burning pyres at an upcoming funeral.

As a result of a history of civil instability, and any true revolution being relatively peaceful (without the need for civilians to be armed), there is no recognised "Right to Bear Arms". The militia equivalent in the People's Nation is organised under government, as part of the military reserve, with the only exceptions in certain specially administered territories.

As such, the right to own arms has to be justified against the following criteria:

1) FIREARMS
- That the applicant has a need for ownership of a specific firearm type, as accepted by their local ISS or Police force. Needs recognised include Hunting, Sport, Licenced Defence & Preservation.
- That the applicant can show that they are of sound mind, as are those who would have access in their household to the firearms, with proof from medical professionals.
- That the applicant can show they have no past criminal history that would preclude them from being trusted with that firearm.
- That the applicant can show that sufficient security will be provided for both weaponry and ammunition, in line with local guidance.

- If a firearm is to be used for Hunting, the owner must demonstrate that they hunt, and hold either the correct hunting licence for the area they shoot, or the recommended safety qualification as issued by civilian Hunting organisations, or they shoot supervised by someone with the recommended safety qualification.
- If a firearm is to be used for Sport, the owner must demonstrate they are either taking part in recognised shooting competitions, or that they are the member of a shooting club.
- If a firearm is to be held for Preservation (museum/collection), sufficient proof must be given of need to hold live weapons in that collection, and of sponsorship of that collection to hold firearms.
- If a firearm is to be used for Licenced Defence, the owner must undergo a probationary period in which they shoot to an acceptable ISS, Police or Military standard on their local ISS/Police/Military range at least twice per week with that weapon. After this period, they must go for a target practice session once every week, and maintain both the appropriate degree of accuracy, but appropriate technique in self-defence scenarios (using Individual Battle Skill ranges as a necessary part). The owner must also be familiar with self defence laws, and must have a sponsor (private security, mercenary, government, police, etc.)

- All firearm owners must respect areas where firearms are prohibited, including secure/sensitive locations, where permission has not been granted. On private property, trespass with a firearm is a serious offence.

Licences may be awarded with the allowance of any weapon system, in theory. HOWEVER, police discretion means that the following weapon types are impossible to own de facto:
- Semi-automatics in centrefire calibres.
- Automatics of all types
- Weapons firing explosive, incendiary, noxious, or excessively wounding rounds (with the exception of flares/fireworks, hunting hollowpoints, and other safety pyrotechnics/explosives, and agricultural/industrial flamethrowers and fire torches)
- Excessive large calibre weapons
- Shortened shotguns

It is not in our constitution. Here, only the military, the police and hunters have a right to have guns, and for hunters, it takes a lot of paperwork.

You must apply for a license in order to own firearms in Rajaputra. Possessing unregistered firearms is an offense. Civilians are restricted in the caliber and number of arms they may possess, with each household limited to three firearms.

Many of our citizens own talwar (swords) for use in ceremonial and celebratory context. There are no restrictions on swords:

Yes it's in our Constitution and applies to all weapons from Small Knifes to Battleships.

Our society is completely weaponized and militarized. Compulsory military training and service begins at age 14 in our nation with students serving in the JROTC and beginning to build the skills and physical training regimens that make soldiers.

By the time they reach the age of 18 our young people (the ones who survive the military selection process) are proficient in Gracie Jiu-Jitsu, Krav Maga, knife fighting techniques, and the use of small arms as well as medium support weapons. Small arms proficiency includes the Glock 21SF and the Glock 30SF in .45 Auto as well as the Glock 20 and the Glock 29 in 10mm Auto (sidearms), the MP5-10A2 10mm Auto SMG, the Alexander Arms M-4 (piston, not direct impingement) chambered in 6.5 Grendel (using Hornady's 6.5 Grendel round at 123gr) equipped with a Trijicon ACOG and BUIS as well as a forward pistol grip/tactical flashlight/laser dot combo (primary weapon), the M-110 7.62mm SWS (with attachments), the M-203 40mm Grenade Launcher (firing Hellhound rounds), the M-32 40mm MGL (also firing Hellhound rounds), the M-249 SAW (firing the 6.5 Grendel), the M-240GL "Light" 7.62 MMG (weighs in at 18 lbs unloaded), and the M-82 Barrett .50 cal (scoped). Medium support weapons include the M-224 60mm Mortar, the AT-4 rocket launcher, the Javelin ATGM, and the S.M.A.W. rocket launcher. Fragmentation grenades and claymore mines are also employed as well as anti-tank mines and "bouncing-betty" anti personnel mines. Much time is spent in the "Kill House" and also in "Combat Town" fine tuning small unit tactics as well as on various live fire ranges. Physical fitness, tactical proficiency, and above all "mindset" are all emphasized throughout the training process of JROTC so that young cadets are fully prepared for active duty service once they reach the age of 18. Needless to say, all of our citizens are armed to the teeth.

Guns are strictly regulated. All guns are registered and ammo and gun purchases tracked for suspicious activity. There is mandatory safety training for gun purchases as well as mental health screenings and background checks. There is absolutely no private ownership of automatic or assault-style weapons except by registered members of the paramilitary forces. The same is true of magazines over 10 bullets. Concealed carry is not permitted.

Official Message from the United States of Allanea on the subject of weapons rights.

The United States of Allanea has incorporated weapons ownership as a major part of its legal system. Our Constitution clearly states:

A well-regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. The right of the individual to keep and bear arms, ammunition, transportation, and weapons of war, for the purposes of defense of self, household, community, enterprise, State, Nation, or Republic, shall be sacrosanct, as shall the right to such defense, and no Government, corporation, artificial entity, or private individual shall infringe upon these rights, nor shall any Government regulate, tax, impede, prohibit, survey, or in any other manner interfere in the free possession, transport, import, export, sale, or keeping of arms, ammunition, transportation or devices or publications involved in maintaining these rights.

Furthermore, the national motto of Allanea is 'From our cold, dead fingers', explaining clearly the means by which Allaneans can be deprived of their god-given, natural right to be free, and therefore to be armed in their defense. The United States government works hand-in-hand with the National Rifle Association of Allanea and other human rights organizations to promote gun ownership and marksmanship. After their military service is over, military veterans receive one or more of their service weapons (depending on their service and rank) as a gift from the military.

The national anthem o the United States of Allanea is a paean to gun rights an individua liberty (but we repeat ourselves):

Oil and grease and powder
A most welcome smell
Of guns and ammo a-plenty
And of thousands fired shells

We feel nothing but sadness for those who live under tyrannical regimes that do not have access to enjoying their innate rights. That said, we would like to remind these people - and their rulers - that the United States of Allanea, and several other civilized countries still maintain a gun refugee act allows victims of oppression in this area to apply for refugee status in these countries. We recommend also applying for refugee status with our allies in the Hobbiest Republic - one o the most civilized countries in the world and in dire need of immigrants.

God bless the Hobbiests.

And may God continue to Bless Allanea.

Every household with at least one male over the age of 18 residing within it is required to own at least one firearm listed in the National Invasion Preparation Act of 2007. The weapons listed in the act are a mix of rifles and shotguns, including automatic and semi-automatic weapons, that are deemed suitable for use in a guerrilla conflict should Knowlandia be invaded. Those who can not legally own a firearm otherwise are exempt, and those who cannot afford a firearm are be provided one.

Anyone may purchase a firearm if a quick background check shows that they have never been deemed mentally incompetent and have never been convicted of a level III or greater offense.

Citizens are free to bear arms of almost any sort, assuming they are used only for target practice, sports, hunting, collecting, or self-defense in extreme cases.

However, citizens with violent criminal records or insanity forfeit the right to bear arms.
