Keeping true to the principles of Francis Bannerman all arms are legal within our borders. The government does not have a military however does require the citizens to keep arms at their residence to act as a militia in case the homeland is attacked or invaded. The government is unable to regulate the sale of arms because it is expressly stated within our Constitution that citizens rights to bear shall not be compromised by the government.
The Honourable M. Cédric Färber
Prime Minister of the Rhæto-Alemannian Confederation

There is no "right to bear arms" in Breheim. Gun-ownership is licenced, with the following regulations applying:

Licences
Licences for gun-ownership may be given by the following instances: the local police chief, the local kommuneråd and officers in the armed forces.

Licences come in the following grades:
- A: Permit to own up to two bolt-action rifles and/or shotguns.
- A+: Permit to own an unlimited amount of bolt-action rifles and/or shotguns.
- B: Permit to own two semi-automatic rifles.
- B+: Permit to own an unlimited amount of semi-automatic rifles.
- AB: Permit to own up to five bolt-action rifles, shotguns or semi-automatic rifles.
- AB+: Permit to own an unlimited amount of bolt-action rifles, shotguns or semi-automatic rifles.
- C: Permit to own up to two pistols and/or handguns.
- C+: Permit to own an unlimited amount of pistols and/or handguns.
- D: Permit to own a single automatic firearm.
- D+: Permit to own an unlimited amount of automatic firearms.
- E: Permit to own any firearm legally sold in the country.

The only licences available to the general public are A, B, C and AB. The other licencing grades are to only be granted to members of the armed forces, the Home Guard, the police and the People's Security Bureau. People not of any of these organisations may receive a higher grade weapons permit only at the discretion of senior officials in the Armed Forces or the People's Security Bureau.

Granting of Licence

Licences are only to be granted to people who have a need for a firearm. Sanctioned needs (what an official may grant an appropriate licence for) are as follows:
- Recreation.
- Hunting (not eligible for C-grade).
- Self-defence (only for people in rural areas).

Registration

All firearms in private hands have to be registered at either the nearest Police Office or with the People's Security Bureau. Possession of unregistered firearms are punishable by up to two years in jail or a fine of up to 400k kroner (50k NSD). Ownership licence may also be removed at the police's discretion.

Public carry

Public carry, concealed or open, is illegal for civilians. 'Public' in this instance refers to anywhere within a city's or town's boundaries, as well as village centres. Carry of firearms in this instance is only permitted when having a legal destination in mind (firing range, own home, etc). If one cannot carry the firearm in an appropriate case, the bolt need to be removed and shotguns have to be uncocked. Unlawful or irresponsible public carry is punishable by up to six months in jail or a fine of up to 100k kroner (12.3k NSD).

Serious answer: Lolnope. The right to own a gun is viewed by most Aininians as positively as the right to get raped (i.e. not at all).

All citizens can own any kind of weapon they want. From a pocket knife, to an assault rifle, to a rocket launcher. We aren't a totalitarian shithole that's afraid of it's citizens.

Althought if they do own a rocket launcher or assault rifle they're most likely a bounty hunter.

Only police and military, if you want to go hunt you go to a local store in which you rent a gun. If you don't return it you have a choice of paying a heavy fine and giving the gun back or prison.

No, there is no such thing as the right bear arms. However, citizens are allowed to bear arms during times of war and defense of the nation.

We have not mastered transplantation to such an extent as to put functional bear arms on someone of other species, but theoretically if we have had then if someone wanted they could perfectly perform such an operation with no legal difficulties.

Civilians are allowed all semi-automatic and fully-automatic man-portable arms, but nothing explosive. Civilians can form militias, however, which are permitted to own anything up to RPGs, tanks and helicopters.

In Saintland, private ownership of swords, guns, bows and arrows or any weapon of any potential military use is strictly prohibited. Indeed, the primary function of our military is to prevent weapons smuggling. Anybody who attempts to smuggle illegal weapons into Saintland will be arrested on the spot and jailed for life. All illegal weapons will be confiscated by the military.

We do allow private ownership of knives for use around the house, but possession of knives is illegal in most public places. Metal detectors are installed outside every school and a police officer is stationed nearby to prevent anybody from bringing a knife to school and murdering their classmates. This policy was put into effect after that actually happened at one school.

The right to bear arms is not listed in the Constitution nor any policies or legislation, but there is also no gun regulation.

Yes it's in our Constitution and applies to all weapons from Small Knifes to Battleships.

Our society is completely weaponized and militarized. Compulsory military training and service begins at age 14 in our nation with students serving in the JROTC and beginning to build the skills and physical training regimens that make soldiers.

Purpelia does not reflect my actual world views. In fact, the vast majority of Purpelian cannon is meant to shock and thus deliberately insane. I just like playing with the idea of a country of madmen utterly convinced that everyone else are the barbarians. So play along or not but don't ever think it's for real.

Men and women both carry the right to bear arms. It comes in handy when dealing with such hostile neighbors. However, their use is quite another matter...

The right to bear arms is not explicitly addressed in any legislation, but implicitly, citizens are allowed to own any weapon that that government does not prohibit. There is an extensive list of prohibited weapons, and the top of the list is the Crossbow, first weapon to be banned (banned since 1357.) Longbow followed suit in 1402, then swords more than 4' in length in 1422, arquebuses in 1465... nuclear weapons in 1946, AK-47s in 1948... no ban has ever been lifted, but there are active campaigners for lifting the ban on crossbows and longbows.

It is, however, possible to own any weapon provided that a letter patent is issued to you, but to get this special letter patent, you need to pay the Lord Chancellor 7500L. Each L is equal to 480 USD.

Weapon possession is prohibited unless required by your job (and even then, you are required to leave your weapon in secure storage when off-duty). This is mostly because the government is convinced that allowing weapon possession will invite trouble while offering no advantages.
However, citizens are allowed (actually, mandated) to practice military skills, including firing standard military-issue firearms, as a mean to ensure the nation has an able military force in case of a call to arms.

Peasants must acquire a permit in order to own weapons. Slaves are publicly beaten and tortured to death if they are caught in possession with a weapon or reveal intent on acquiring one.

Heavily restricted for non-police and military personnel. Small caliber handguns, such as 9mm pistols, are legal for civilians.

Enforcement is somewhat spotty outside of the capital, and in the rural areas it's not uncommon for villages to have stores of assault weapons to provide for the common defense.

Violators of our gun laws may expect a fine, or if you are in the business of gun smuggling, a fine, beating, and imprisonment. As with many of our laws, a well-placed bribe may enable you to escape prosecution, but the larger the offence the larger the bribe.
