In my nation, the signature weapon for many centuries was a katana. Considered as an honerable weapon, it was frequently used for dueling, though duels were very short, often being finished by whoever got the first strike. Even today, a well maintained katana is present in every court, and many of great wealth keep one.

Because of their incredibly fast reproductive cycle and difficulty of eradication, an enemy will often be forced to expend resources they could be directing towards their military on keeping their new population of death machines from killing them all! When you compare how much it costs us to make a few of these creatures and deploy them with the immense difficulty they cause our enemies, it becomes clear that it's nearly always worth it to utilize them in combat.

Our favorite scenario arises when we are attacked by moralistic nations who believe some of our practices to be "inhumane". They're put in an awkward position when half of their populace suddenly becomes unable to support their war economy due to having crippling flesh- or metal-eating diseases. Either they have to waste even more of their resources keeping these drains on society alive, or break their own rules and terminate them!

The Vulture Gunship is the meat and potatoes of our close airborne support, and has become something of a symbol of our air force. It is a VTOL craft that uses two articulated jet engines as its main method of propulsion. Pilots are paired with an A.I. that makes sure the ship does what the pilot wants it to do. This level of control allows the pilot to maneuver the thrusters independently, making the Vulture Gunship one of the most maneuverable aircraft out there. Its heavy duty jets are designed to lift their own aircraft individually, which gives the gunship massive amounts of thrust. This means it can haul a full payload of missiles and bombs, and still be able to carry troops. Fuel is not much of an issue because of its hydrogen fuel cells, but the Vulture gunship is still a serious hydrogen-guzzler as opposed to other hydrogen powered vehicles.

Despite the advanced technology that went into the Vulture, it looks like something out of the Vietnam War.
