Does your nation have a ban on guns, and why?

I, Mikael Chaos have recently been asked if my nation has a gun ban. I told them yes, because it helps reduce crime, and keeps my law enforcement agents safe from a dumbkopf weilding a .44 magnum in their faces, thinking their Dirty Harry.
And since I have been asked, I am curious as to wether any of you have a ban on weapons in your nation.

No guns are allowed in Renetopia except for policemen and certified hunters. Why? Because we are a nation which tries to be as peaceful as possible.

Does your nation ban guns?

Yes, guns have always been traditionally restricted in Kington Langley. In order to obtain a firearm one must first acquire a hunting/sports licence which grants the holder the use of hunting rifles, certain types of shotguns, realistic firearms such as airsoft guns etc. Most weapons such as handguns, RPGs, submachine and machine guns are totally illegal in Kington Langley with no exceptions. Police in Kington Langley are also prohibited from being issued with firearms.

Why?

Like in all civilised countries, the general population view firearms as tools rather than status symbols, only to be owned and handled by professionals for sporting purposes, the armed forces, and individuals without a history of mental illness. It also makes for a safer society where less criminals have dangerous weapons and the police are more tolerated and respected by the community.

We supply our peoples with guns and encourage them to carry concealed or openly always. We, the govt of CEE, want our citizens to be a free people, furthermore, we believe any person is not truly free unless they have means to defend their freedom. Our gun laws are under our fact book.

The Genoese Electorate has not banned guns, and never will, because gun ownership compulsory. Compulsory gun ownership is an effective deterrent to all crimes, as well as an effective means of self defense. Genoese laws are actually so lax on the subject of firearm ownership, that with the correct, easy to get permit, you could own a tank, or military-grade explosives.

We don't have a ban, no. Guns are essentially regulated quite a bit.

Guns are generally not so easy to get, and most people don't have them. It's been like this for some time now.

Civilian firearms are allowed, but only .30 caliber and below. There is also a magazine restriction of 5 to 10 rounds, depending on weapon type and make. There is a ban on weapons of higher caliber, velocity and carrying capacity because weapons are dangerous and these bans are put in place to limit deaths, accidental or otherwise, within the territories of Lamassu (including Arctic and Antarctic holdings) and also to protect the people living within those borders mentioned.

Even though most of the Confederacy's citizens don't own firearms, they are not illegal, they are however regulated. Most citizens don't find a reason to own a gun because of how safe the nation is. Those that do own guns are normally hunters, police officers, and military personel.

No, we actually openly encourage gun ownership in our population. It is in order to preserve the capabilities of civilian self defense and National militias.

The only regulations we have are Licensing and Background and Mental background checks.
