Indeed, and so far all of the XM8 AEG kits I've seen look pretty goddamn cheap.

I don't think it was that, they just wanted to make the bayonet lighter and simpler and went way too far on both. IIRC the No. 7 knife bayonet and No. 9 blade bayonet can both fit on a No. 4, it's only the No. 5 which only goes on the Jungle Carbine. The No. 7 suffers from the disadvantage of having the most entirely stupid mounting method ever devised, mind you, which is why it was barely issued with the No. 4 since there were issues with bullets hitting the crosspiece.

It is a weapon for wold domination and possesses a massive recoil and weight, making it one of the worst weapons in history (next to the AK47)

The .45 Executioner is an internally silenced select fire pistol that has more in common with an SMG, so much to that very few users utilize a holster and instead rely on a sling. Like the Tiger it is cheap and designed for world domination.

There is no issued MG but some officers are issued an M12 automatic shotgun that is one of the best weapons in its class - until it jams. some exceptional soldiers receive telescopic sights but they are in a minority.

Scrap it. Redesign it or pick something sensible from IRL or NS.

The MRS-67, for example, will fit your intended role much better *winks, nudges*

Scrap this too. Also,

No MGs? Automatic shotguns? Are your military commanders brain-dead or something? MGs are necessary, at company level at the VERY LEAST. Ideally, a GPMG should be platoon level and an LMG or LSW should be at squad or section level. Automatic shotguns are a niche weapon at best. And scopes on shotguns?

The .45 executioner was designed for special forces, when the first prototype failed, the design was modified repeatedly until it had gone from gas blowback to telescoping bolt, at some point it was given a select fire ability and fielded as an NCOs weapon. (Its crap, but the Spec Ops model is pretty good)

When the Tiger was introduced squads were equipped with M1 Garands (.30,06), Lee Enfeild .303 "Jungle Carbines" (solid little buggers, love that model) and .303 Brens all left over from WWII. Originally issued as a replacement for both the Enfield and Garand the Tiger was not well received until someone noted its unnerving ability to hit a man sized target at 800 yards (possible with an Enfield), and out-shoot the Garand. The one flaw was the weight but considering that it was the first new weapon to be issued in 60 years. Shortly after it was released the Bren was officially retired due to "extreme wear on all parts" leaving a unfilled gap that does make itself apparent in every conflict.

The main reason the Tiger is used is due to a refusal to utilize foreign produced weapons.

And no the scope is not for the shotguns, but is special issue for some riflemen.

I'll do a redesign, less weight, smaller round, more commie style aesthetics.

Thanks for breaking down all the assorted flaws.

I've got a .38 Colt Commander, an M1 Carbine, a detachable mag SKS, and a pump-action 12 gauge. What would be the best choice for putting these things down? Would they come back during the day?

A detachable mag SKS is good in any situation you would ever find yourself in ever.
Much better than those terrible western copies such as the M1.

I'm sorry, but are you seriously trying to imply that the M1 carbine is a "terrible western copy" of the SKS?

No. No no no no no no no no no no. A thousand times no.
And the M1 is not at all a copy of the SKS. It was developed before the SKS was even a prototype.
