A full-auto variant was planned to replace the BAR as an infantry automatic rifle, but I don't think it reached the intended deployment numbers, for whatever reason.

Early M14s were full-auto, but it fell into the same "wishful thinking" category as things like the FG42; the M14 is too light for any soldier who forgot to become a giant ogre to handle it in full-auto. It was supposed to replace the M3, M1 Garand, M1 Carbine and BAR all at once, but ended up being the shortest-issued standard rifle in the history of the US military.

Of course, the Bad Company series isn't all that realistic, even among all the modern military shooter games.

No game allows you to strip naked and and throw anchovies at people. Therefore, no games are realistic.

It seems exceedingly tall, almost all because of the way the missile pods are arranged.
The arrangement also prevents the machine gun (or autocannon) from being used as a short-range self-defence platform against low-flying aircraft, infantry from any direction bar the front or enemy vehicles.

Well to be fair AA vehicles, especially those with missiles, are never purposely left without support from lighter ones with more versatile machine guns. Infantry would be there too.

With that logic all APC's aren't good for warfare. I'd much rather be in a wheeled vehicle that has more room for bottom protection than a tracked one with very little. Mines and other devices that detonate underneath are probably the biggest danger to most vehicles today.

A Russian weapons fan showed me the Club K system. What a brilliant idea, he thought. Well, I kinda like it. You can transport missiles in what looks like an ordinary container. Can hide them on ships, trucks, trains and wherever you want

In unconventional warfare, yes.
In conventional warfare, not really. The extreme height makes it a very large and obvious target.

Plus, they're not that well armoured. They're good at deflecting blasts and such.
