Wait till you see my version. And 7mm-10, being 6.5 CBJ with a 5mm dart, 7mm sabot, and 10mm Auto base, is probably effective to around 200 meters with a 6 inch barrel like that. Alternately, you could use 10mm Auto squeezebores, or 10mm Autos with Swedish AP style bullets.

AP isn't as much of a concern for these guys. They need a big, hevy round; hence using 10mm Auto and not some 7.62mm pistol round.

That makes good sense. The Kard's recoil reduction should make it 9mm recoil or less, to boot.

Precisely why I chose it over the VBR. Same package, less recoil, bigger round with no "PDW problems", and useable as a field summary execution pistol.

Should I make a 76.2x54mmR variant that accepts SVT40 magazines?

You'll have to use proprietary magazines that go to your cartridges length/taper. Can't just choose "7.62 curve or 5.45 curve", really.


Also, to the SVT-40 magazines, no. They are a tad bit different than AK mags, so going the PSL or SVD route would most likely make the most sense.

True, but for individual guards, a slug gun would be ideal. The US used Ithaca 10g shotguns for roadblocks, IIRC.

However, they can be stored indefinitely without having to worry about spring degradation, which is a huge plus since I intend to distribute/store all PMT small arms ammunition in preloaded magazines.

That and, they seem to have higher capacities than standard magazines. I know, they achieve this by being longer, but I've got quite a bit of space between the pistol grip and magazine well tthat can be used.

You can fit one 50 round, 9x19mm helical magazine as the same space as four 30 round 9x19mm magazines. That's 50 rounds vs 120 rounds.

Regarding .50 cal handguns, the M1911 is the best option. You have the LAR Grizzly Win Mag in .50 AE if you want penis compensation, and your stock standard M1911 converted to .50 GI if you subscribe to the permanent cavity line of thought when it comes to terminal ballistics.
