The spirit of Besarionis attempts to make a panicked retreat with the rest of the Riserlandish navy along with it- the tide appears to have turned.

Premier Besarionis appears on national TV the night marking the 5th week of conflict.

"Comrades of Riserland, I speak to you in the most dire of circumstances....Cruiland has been secretly funding the Angelian nationalists and their combined forces have pushed us entirely from the south sea. Normally this would be cause of great concern but there is a silver lining amidst these dark clouds of war....the bourgeoise has been purged from Angelia Island, the people may still fight in their name but I can assure you that they- the Angelian workers- will be far better off now. I know you are tierd of this fighting, the protests we so graciously allowed in our major cities is a sign of this- I too grow tierd of it, the memory of that horrific day at the colonial capital building still haunts my nightmares...tonight, I can tell you that those responsible have payed the price for that....

I speak to you tonight to propose an armistice- an end to all hostilities between The People's Republic of Riserland and the bands of rebels who occupy Angelia Island. This peace will be for the greater good of both of our nations, for the greater good of the world....We cordially invite representatives from the Angelian rebel camp to a peace conference in our port city of Kleinmen to discuss this...."

High above the Hydronian boarder- Week 5 of conflict

Since entering defcon 1 a week ago armed aerial patrols scan the nation 24/7 for any threats... An ICBM is spotted on radar en route to a major city (it can only be assumed Siegstadt) Golem squadron breaks their usually patrol and intecepts.... 2 MKYDK-881 rockets strike the nuke with precision accuracy detonationing it high in the air, rather far from even the most remote farming villages. In the blast all of Golem squadron is killed, the countryside is devastated and even sections of Hyronia are hit.

The central committee makes a solemn return to the public eye addressing the incident, they declare all 4 of the members of Golem squadron "Heroes of Riserland" the highest military honor achievable before making allocations for statues of their likeness to be erected in Siegstadt.

The beaten and bloody Riserlandish fleet limps back home with the Angelians hot on their trail- it is unknown what the state of the Crucilanders is but it puts the crews greatly on edge. Upon turning the corner at the peninsula of the liberated nations the large Angelian fleet is confronted with an even larger Riserlandish one, they should have known they only were going to regroup and counter-attack! The Angelians attempt to retreat but from behind nearly 20 submarines rise and are prepared to fire.

Freshly manufactured jets launch from the carriers, they strafe with machine-guns and fire rockets at the fleet- the Riserlandish ships/ submarines do not fire yet. The aerial bombardment sends 4 ships to the deep on the first day.

Upom returmimg to the South Sea,Riserland finds a ridiculous amount of Angelian naval forces encircling each individual island. Sonar suggests there is still more than meets the eye, the Riserland ships being torpedoed out of the water helps suggest that too. Jets fly high making sure that the counter forces are aware of the counter-counter forces presence.

A band of the MJC Drones have gone back to Angelia to reinforce the broken nation and reinstate its infrastructure. Efforts have also been made to put a stable government system back in place. Off-shore, Riserlandian forces continued whaling on the Angelians. New forces in the form of transport ships started dropping in resources and care packages from above to aid in Angelia's defense and reconstruction. Even now, the Drones were milling about, manufacturing more of their own with the scraps and extra resources in lieu of further conflict.

Behind the wall of Angelia Islands military,and withh the aid of Cruciland, builders begin to restore the Capitol Skyscraper naming it the capitol building of Angelia Island, refusing to build the original capitol building after the horror that took place in it before. It introduced urban farming- agriculture cultivated in skyscrapers with simulated sunlight. They focus on building their capital into a city of lights, remarkable for its tourism, gambling,and nightlife desperately trying to build a paradise to forget the trauma still occurring now.
They demand that the Riserland government and military be tried for crimes against humanity, blaming them for mercilessly attacking an otherwise passive natured nation and leader, not only murder of their benevolent leader and his innocent daughter, but the massacre at the capitol building and genocide of their people.

"If you wish to remain a corrupt, violent dictatorship rather than become a class conscious socialist republic there is nothing we can do at this point. I have withdrawn all Riserlandish Naval and air forces to the Gulf of Bolsk in our homeland. A mutual Cease fire with no conditions to speak of has been submitted to the new government of Angelia Island." The commissar stares angrily into the screen between which he and an unnamed Angelian speak... "We will never capitulate to border-line fascists, accept this peace and let us return to isolationism. If you refuse it I fear things may escalate further and what little progress you've made may be all for nothing."

"Comrade Besarionis desperately wishes to give back these emergency- war time powers that the central committee has granted him, he wants to purge the party as it has become bloated with people hoping to establish a new hierarchy....he cannot do this unless you agree to the cease fire."

We blame you for the attempted murder of our benevolent leader and his daughter. Now the charges will be dropped." A quaint smile spread over the face on the screen.

May 21st 2013- The Treaty of Blue is submitted to the government of Angelia Island and a summit in the Riserlandish capital of Siegstadt is held- the treaty is given to Angelian representatives for them to read over and eventually come to a decision.

May 24th 2013-The nation of Vulpae feels threatened by this treaty because if signed it would give Riserland a military base within striking distance of the Vulpaean mainland. Drone and tank production skyrockets. Naval forces accompany their merchant fleet in the south sea.

May 29th 2013-The central committee of the communist party of Riserland is informed about the situation, Commissar of war Franklin Dovak orders a fleet to amass in the south sea to confront the Vulpaeans. Recon drones fly high above Riserlandish ports and submarines patrol all waters from the gulf of bolsk to Angelia Island.

June 1st 2013- The Riserlandish fleet arrives in the south sea and heavily outnumbers the Vulpeans but neither side will back down. The government of Angelia Island announces that it refuses to make a decision until the crisis is resolved. Several hours later the newly appointed Riserlandish ambassador to Vulpae: Charles McCumber is contacted by Vulpaen Minister Primus Amitan to discuss a de-escalation of the situation. An agreement is reached in which Riserland ships it's entire supply of E-zero to Vulpae over the coarse of 5 years selling it at 60% below market price, it is also agreed that no long range rockets will be placed in Angelian territory if the treaty is signed- the Vulpeaen naval stand-off is resolved peacefully.

June 3rd 2013- The Angelian Head of state speaks with Premier Besarionis of Riserland and expresses that he wishes to amend the treaty before signing it- namely the parts that would require his nation to change it's stance on slavery/ working conditions. Premier Besarionis is infuriated after going through all this trouble just to have the Angelian head of state try to squirm his way out of the most important part of the treaty- worse yet he insults communism right to the face of Protonia's only communist leader. The premier boils over with rage, he threatens the Angelian head of state and kicks him out of his capitol building and out of Riserland.

June 4th- 2013 Riserlandish Naval and air forces prepare for war in the south sea in the dead of night. Recon drones drop counterfeit currency and propaganda leaflets on Angelian workers while on their morning commutes. Naval and air bombardment commences to target only military/ government buildings. Upon this starting every slave in Angelia Island is freed so long as they are willing to fight, their media tries desperately to shift world opinion toward the Angelians.

june 5th 2013 Vulpae withdraws all support from Angelia Island and attempts to extract its civilians currently on the Island.Rolando Derodia Juvaleius of Sacheyenya sends word to the Riserlandish government pleading for the opportunity to evacuate its civilians as well, a 2 hours cease of the bombardment is commanded during which time paratroopers begin to land and kill every C.E.O, slave owner or Government official they encounter while searching for the head of state himself. The head of state calls all workers/ slave to the the colonial capital building to listen to an important speech during the cease fire as well. After the 2 hours end the bombardment commences again and the colonial capital building is hit by a bunker buster- it kills a Riserlandish special forces team and 1,800 workers/ slaves in the single worst friendly fire incident in Riserlandish history.

June 6th 2013- Vulpae decides to remain neutral and take in refugees, as does Hircus- defenses are bolstered in both countries. The nation of Yugo-Austria offers help to Angelia Island but it never arrives for unknown reasons.

June 10th 2013- The Angelian head of state makes his first appearance since the incident at the colonial capital- he speaks from the secondary skyscraper capital building and agitates mobs to attack occupying Riserlandish soldiers/ tanks who had since landed on the beaches and moved into the cities. The Crucilandish government sends hundreds and hundreds of drones to swarm Angelia Island and stop any further landings.

June 17th 2013- Premier Besarionis appears on Riserlandsih TV and demands the Angelian Head of state come out of hiding and stand trial. He goes on to declare that if he does not give himself up in 2 week's time that the kill/capture order would be changed to a kill on sight order. Cruciland advises the Angelian government to remain suspicious and to stay in hiding whereas Vulpae suggests a peace conference on their soil.

June 20th 2013- the People's republic of Riserland publicly denounces footage of their ships fireing upon fleeing refugees in the south sea as propaganda made by the Angelians.

June 30th 2013- As cruciliandish drones buzz through the skies and bodies burn in the streets, Riserlandish commandos happen across a hidden bunker where the Angelian head of state and his 6 year old daughter are caught speaking about a possible neuclear attack on Siegstadt. The Crucilandish drones dispurce for long enough so that a helicopter can be flown in to extract the team with their targets.

August 1st 2013- The head of state and his daughter are taken on board the Riserlandish Aircraft carrier "Spirit of Besarionis" for interrogation. Nothing of value is extracted during this time, only that there is an Angelian terrorist group who has hijacked Riserlandish missile guidance systems and is planning to destroy the city of Siegstadt.

August 2 2013- The bureau of intelligence is informed about the situation- the city of Siegstadt is thrown into chaos

August 7th 2013- The interrogation still yields no results, the head of state is shot in both knee caps which causes the daughter to spill all she knows about the missile threat. The integrator (Who's name is still classified- only known as "Octavius") informs Premier Besarions frequently about what the little girl says- at one point she even proposes a plan to divert the missile which is quickly discovered only to be an attempt guide it to the city. A new defensive plan is conceived by a heroic young radio operator but the missile never arrives. Meanwhile back on the ship the Angelian head of state is declared dead despite a riserlandish doctor's best efforts to save him. The fighting escalates in Angelia Island as guerilla fighters take to the streets of every major city- they hurl POWs from the top of the capital building and push tanks filled with crews over sea-side cliffs.

August 12th 2013- Mysteriously Angelia's naval presence becomes large enough to rival Riserland's overnight- they push Riserland's navy from the south sea. That night The head of state's daughter is executed. The two martyrs become symbols for the Angelian resistance movment.

August 17th 2013- Cruciland becomes directly involved in the conflict and helps the new Angelian naval forces (Whom we currently believe they were secretly supplying) push the Riserlandish navy further from their nation. Premier Besarions proposes a peace conference in Riserland since the previous Vulpaen one had fallen through."

August 18th 2013- A nuclear ICBM is fired from an unknown location at Riserland- A heroic fighter squadron successfully intercepts it but kills themselves in the process- they are declared "Heroes of Riserland" and their statue stands to this day in Siegstadt to commemorate them.

August 20th 2013- This is the day when the war shifts- no longer would it be fought with commandos, infantry, tanks or guerrillas, rather it would become a purely naval/areal war (*there were a few minor battles on several Islands between Angelia and riserland). Fleets would encircle and engage one another constantly from this point onward- the Crucilandish government declares that it will begin to aid the reconstruction process in Angela island.

December 23rd 2013- The Battle of the Frozen Bolsk- Major Riserlandish victory

January 12th 2014- The "Whitewash" - Major Riserlandish victory

March 15th 2014- The 3rd battle of the South sea- Major Angelian Victory

October 27th 2014- The 2nd battle of the western sea- minor Angelian victory

November 8th 2014- the battle of Proboa Island (located in the western sea- near the Liberated Nations)- minor Riserlandish victory

January 29th 2015- The black engagement- Major Angelian victory

July 4th 2015 The "Stoke" - Minor Angelian victory

September 19th 2015- operation "Irishman"- Major Angelian Victory

December 31st 2015- 2nd battle of the Frozen Bolsk- Major Riserlandish victory

March 15th 2016 operation "Caesar"- minor Riserlandish victory

OOC: A very nice ending, indeed; the Angelian Isles underwent an epic fight for their lives, a nuclear crisis came about, and we played a role in keeping the sides even. Overall, a good conflict. I wonder who else will settle in Protonia?

The integrator (Who's name is still classified- only known as "Octavius") informs Premier Besarions frequently about what the little girl says- at one point she even proposes a plan to divert the missile which is quickly discovered only to be an attempt guide it to the city. A new defensive plan is conceived by a heroic young radio operator but the missile never arrives. Meanwhile back on the ship the Angelian head of state is declared dead despite a riserlandish doctor's best efforts to save him. The fighting escalates in Angelia Island as guerilla fighters take to the streets of every major city- they hurl POWs from the top of the capital building and push tanks filled with crews over sea-side cliffs.

August 12th 2013- Mysteriously Angelia's naval presence becomes large enough to rival Riserland's overnight- they push Riserland's navy from the south sea. That night The head of state's daughter is executed. The two martyrs become symbols for the Angelian resistance movment.

August 17th 2013- Cruciland becomes directly involved in the conflict and helps the new Angelian naval forces (Whom we currently believe they were secretly supplying) push the Riserlandish navy further from their nation. Premier Besarions proposes a peace conference in Riserland since the previous Vulpaen one had fallen through."

August 18th 2013- A nuclear ICBM is fired from an unknown location at Riserland- A heroic fighter squadron successfully intercepts it but kills themselves in the process- they are declared "Heroes of Riserland" and their statue stands to this day in Siegstadt to commemorate them.

August 20th 2013- This is the day when the war shifts- no longer would it be fought with commandos, infantry, tanks or guerrillas, rather it would become a purely naval/areal war. Fleets would encircle and engage one another constantly from this point onward- the Crucilandish government declares that it will begin to aid the reconstruction process in Angela island.

December 23rd 2013- The Battle of the Frozen Bolsk- Major Riserlandish victory

January 12th 2014- The "Whitewash" - Major Riserlandish victory

March 15th 2014- The 3rd battle of the South sea- Major Angelian Victory

October 27th 2014- The 2nd battle of the western sea- minor Angelian victory

November 8th 2014- the battle of Proboa Island (located in the western sea- near the Liberated Nations)- minor Riserlandish victory

January 29th 2015- The black engagement- Major Angelian victory

July 4th 2015 The "Stoke" - Minor Angelian victory

September 19th 2015- operation "Irishman"- Major Angelian Victory

December 31st 2015- 2nd battle of the Frozen Bolsk- Major Riserlandish victory

March 15th 2016 operation "Caesar"- minor Riserlandish victory

June 5th 2016- battle of Gorra Island (Western sea)- major Angelian victory

August 12th 2016- 2nd battle of Gorra Island- minor Riserlandish victory

November 22nd 2016- the "breakthough"- Major Riserlandish victory

January 1st 2017- Riserlandish naval and air forces bombard the Angelian capital a 2nd time but are soon engaged by combined Crucilandish and Angelian forces and are forced to retreat once more.

April 18th 2017- A cease fire is declared, all Riserlandish forces withdraw from the south sea.

Angelia Islands has once again rise to the worlds attention for its swinging hotspots, nightlife, casinos, resorts, and luxury liners. People laughing and partying in the streets, both residents and tourists, seem to believe that bright neon lights can drown out the dark memories. People amass in front of the Capitol Skyscraper to hear a speech to be given by an unknown govenment official.
On a balcony not too high up the skyscraper two figures appear. The Head of State and his now 10 year old daughter, both waving to the crowd below, emerges from the shadows. After a short, tense silent moment,the crowd erupt overjoyed.
The cheater of death with his likewise daughter at hand began to speak, "Hello my beloved vice-country, I am truly honored that you have ensured our prosperous friendship. Our lower class has been hard at work restoring our great islands to their formers glory and will be rewarded graciously. After such suffering we have reached another age of prosperity, but make no mistake. We will work hard to keep these good times with us. Private investors spend hard to boost our economy. After Riserland occupation we now are independent and can defend ourselves with no need of military assistance." He continues with his daughter on his shoulders, "They will be stunned to learn that the people that died in their hands are alive. Little did they know that they are not the only communists that tried to kill me. On colony after colony it seems apparent that attempting to capture me is a proud tradition of governments that follow communism. If they picked up one of our history books while on our soil the would have learned tha to combat this problem, genetic technology allows the royalty to be cloned protecting ourselves. They killed clones! I assure while our deaths were symbols of Angelia Islands proud rebellion during occupation, our 'rebirths' will be symbolic of our prosperiy afterwards. I wish you all good night and good lives."He walks with his daughter into the capitol building and the crowd disperses quickly spreading word of the Angelian miracle leader.

FT = future tech (for example the Empire from Star Wars)

MT = modern tech (Modern nations, obviously)

PMT = Post modern tech (nation's set a couple decades from now)

After the past few weeks, (days) thousands of settlers have been arriving to fill the positions of miners, after a massive claim of bauxite was uncovered. This was discovered by one of many expeditions exploring the new claim.
The extremely fertile land has also given rise to a juicy agricultural sector, as farmers compete to grow hundreds of types of meats, fruit, tobacco, hemp, vegetables. This had lead to an increase in deforestation as farmers hire loggers to cut down trees to make way for fields, most of the wood is then carved into fancy furniture that is then exported for triple the price of what the un carved timbers would've sold for.

The number of settlers now: 800,000.
To keep the peace, 65,000 soldiers and 2,000 various armoured unite have been requested to be sent in to act as a police force,until the colony organises its own. All the soldiers are expected to arrive in waves over the year.

OOC: Holy freetos guys, I take a few days off because it's slow and wham, the whole war goes off without me. Vulpae is a PMT state, just starting it's colonial ambitions among the stars.

Vulpaeian ministers stare at each other around the table, the debate had gone on for years and made no progress. Let alone when the blogosphere ignited, and the media had a field day with atomic weapons. How to protect themselves from such agression? It had ground their attempts to back Riserland to a halt as the senate went into deep debate, and the ministers tangled with each other.
Some had supported deactivating Cruciland's drones, blaming an independent hacker in favor of the Riserlanders. Others had taken a stance in support of the angeliaican leader, he had after all agreed to "reasonable terms" and had a captialist stance much like their own, dispite the distasteful practice of slaveholding. Of course the Isolationists, Corprates, and War-Lobby weighed in, turning the debate into a political clusterfuck.
Above it all the Minister Prime smiled, after the mobsw the corps, and militarists had gotten their way, and new and more advanced weapons were rolling out by the day, including Pry-5-em drones, tanks, and the Apollo stratiofighter, a VTOL craft that had amazing versility, and could take the dogfight to low orbit.
They had gotten a good look at the three nations involved, pushed through a cloning bill, genetics research had gone swimmingly. Nu-Gene, the startup company had made a few more breakthroughs on lands bought right out from under Angelica, all leagal and above board of course, but people were eager to abandon the privately held islands in the wake of war.
The Corporates were happy, able to invest in Angelica during it's rebuilding, and make a fortune in the process. Credits always kept the corp-lobby happy, and ready to support anything.
Angelican refugees formed a lower class of immigrants, quickly moving up into line with the rest of Vulpae, from what he'd heard one of them had been the one who lobbied for such investment in his former homeland.
They once again had access to the E-zero they needed, their first orbital space port would be launched in a few months.
And as a final feather in the cap, Riserland had been driven from the south seas without his government having to lift a finger. There was still Cruciland to worry about, but a decadent revolutionary communist was best kept at arm's leingh, even if they were the friendly sort. They also had cracked more than a few Cruciland codes, and even now hackers were worming their way into the systems, more for fun than profit, but even pasty teens hacking for fun had their role to play.

Virtually no other nations know the exact frequency and energy that the Drones are connected through, and we doubt that your nation has put any research into said "signals" that would allow for access to them, let alone getting by the ruthlessly oppressive cyber-security...

...although we must admit, it is very fun to watch your hackers wonder how to even find the MJC Drones' signals.

Following the Angelian war Riserland was left exhausted, emergency war-time powers had been granted to premier Besarionis during the Siegstadt nuclear crisis and were not given back until one week after the cease fire was declared. The Preimier declared that Riserland will become heavily isolationist for some time so that a massive party purge may be carried out to restore his nation's once world famous levels of social equality while the 2nd 5 years plan repairs the Riserlandish economy.
