[Savage Nations]

The first explorers to find this land said it was "a brutal place, filled with feral tribes and savage nations". Eventually, the Nations grew, and formed alliances, and after a time, they federated. They called this pact The Federation of Savage Nations in honor of those long-ago words, and because though they speak with one voice, each is a sovreign nation, with its own religion, culture, and customs.

[Ko-oren]

Ko-oren is a local word for the country, etymologically 'golden region/land'

[North Stradia]

Our nation occupies the Northern half of Stratton Island, which was Latinized as Stradia Island.

[The Raqaani]

Raqaani translates to "disciples of Raq", Raq Etcakannë was a prince of ancient days who prophesied the coming of a new aeon. His followers set out east from their homeland to found a new nation and their descendants populate it today.

[Zilean Empire]

Despite being settled in 1535, it is very much of an mystery where the word Ziler came from (since Zilean is just a person who lives there). The land was empty of any 'native' tribes. Country's official language (english) is simply an result of first permanent settlement but is now very strictly enforced. Also History is greatly unpopular as the population are forward looking seekers of future technologies, consistently after the Next Big Thing but on discovering it they are less than impressive, wishing had lived up to massive hype which happens before.

[Berkenland]

The first royal family was the house of Von Berk, hence the name Berkenland. However Berk was also used for the name of the city were the first settlers lived (Port Berk, also the capital). For the first year, Berkenland was called The Land of the Port Berkens

[Greater Mackonia]

Greater Mackonia.

There are actually several different entities on this planet that are ruled by Macks,we were the first of these nations to be re-discovered by humans,the human in question was
an explorer who called himself Mack.The actual name of Greater Mackonia is extremely long and therefor we prefer to use the human name for our lands when dealing with foreigners.

"Greater" is just to avoid confusion with other Mack entities.

[Lycanthronia]

Lycanthronia was named so for the following reasons:
Lycan- We are a race of Lycans or Lycanthropes, and Lycanthrnonia was founded before we started to have creative nation names.
Thro- To symbolize how we 'threw out' the Americans when they, like the entire human population of Earth, went extinct. (It sounds like throw).
Nia- To give it a nice, 'nationy' sound to it.

[Urran]

mine was based off of the Ural Mountains in Russia. Urran is pronounced OO-RON

[Slembana]

Slembana means "Land of the Bird" in ancient Slembanan. The Slembanan name for Slembana, Daviro, means the same thing, but in modern Slembanan.

[Reichsland]

The citizens of Reichsland are known as Landser. Reich means nation in the Landser language. Thus when you put them together, you literally have nation of the Landser. Our founder just shortened the word Landser to Land to give it that nice little ring.

[Tagmatium]

It was randomly selected, at random, by a team of well-trained marmosets native to our great land.

[Regnum Albion]

Albion comes from the Ancient Anglican meaning either 'hilly' or 'earth', presumably due to its rolling hills and green pastures. Regnum is Latin for 'kingdom', denoting the monarchy that united the country and gave it its name.

[Merriwhether]

Merriwhether lands its name to old Hkeinalan. In old Hkeinalan (which is spoken by very few nowadays), Merriwhether comes from two parts. "Merr-" translated accurately to "Prosperous," or "of Prosper." "-whether" can be translated to "Place," "Land" and/or "Property." Modern definition makes Merriwhether a compounded word, meaning "Prosperity's land," only slightly off from what the old definition could be considered.

[New Andureo]

Andureo comes from the Old Andurean words anhn (island) and dʲurə (political union, united kingdom, federation of states).

[Veceria]

Veceria comes from the name the first settlers used for the peninsula we live on, Vecra.

[Allmann]

Allemann is short for Allemannia which means All men (people).

[Blawell]

Blawell is named by our Founder Queen. She named it and our people proudly accepted it. There's a myth that say our First Queen was from the planet of Plawal.

[Petrovsegratsk]

Petrovsegratsk means "[The] Greatest [of] Petar".

It's the old fashion name, and the official name, however Petrovians know it as "Petrovia" or "Land [of] Petar".

[Jedoria]

Jed is an ancient name for stars in the land.

-oria is a common suffix for nations/countries.

Hence our motto, "Look to the Stars"

[Kanaria]

A corruption of the Tellurian word canari, referring to our blue canaries.

[Rodard]

Rodard was named by the first president of Rodard after a new element commonly found in the region, Rodarium.

[Great Confederacy of Commonwealth States]

Well, my nation is a confederacy, under chancellor Usari. We are great, as you all know. Our nations history began with the Imperialsm of other nations, who all had colonies in our home island. The people decided that they wanted to be ruled by a dictator on their own land in stead of dictators and parleiments oversea. That's why the different colonie sare now called commonwealth states, although they are one nation and independent from the former colonial powers.

[Swordishaw]

The reason why Swordishaw was chosen was because of the fact the independence fighters against Russia were called the Swordishaw Christian Resistance Force, Swordishaw was a large settlement in karelia that was considered lawless and un invade-able because of the amount of resistance their was, most people from Murmansk and Karelia and the land in between went their in order to have safe haven from the communist authorities of Russia. The Christian republic of Swordishaw is a country that is goes from what the Russians call Murmansk all the way down to what the Russians call Karelia, and the land in between.
