Greater Beggnig's name comes from a joke I made on a forum like this, when someone spelt Beginning as Beggnig and I claimed it was the word for baggage in Slovenian, and also from a joke that if Britain was 'Great,' then Beggnig was 'Greater.'

[Howslandia]

Howslandia's name comes from our founders name, Todd A. Howson Jr. He decided to name the nation after himself.

[Pavonistade]

1. The word "pavonistade" came from the old Gingiegordan word "pavstadie" which means "respect."
2. Pavonistade is named after two things: a. Gregorie Delphian Pavonistade, the settler who established Pavonistade City, and b. Pavonistade City, the capital.

[Sunny Skies]

Sunny Skies is both a pun on the region name and a cool name. The Psychedelic Republic stands on the Kyque Plains of the older Kyen, the nation where Sunny Skies, Westky, Swishwind and Tysia split over internal political dissidence.
About a century ago the Monarchy in Kyen was toppled by a revolution, and a Federative Republic was placed - The Republic of Kyen. This government was severely unstable, since many monarchy-aligned people were still claiming for the return of the King; this led to a crisis that ultimately divided the country into Kyen and Westky.
After some time there was a second revolution in Kyen - a peaceful and gradual change in consciousness that led to the creation of Sunny Ky, a nation focused on Peace, Love and Freedom as says on the motto.
Sunny is Ky, see the sun rise in the sunny skies of the psychedelic republic.

[The Republic of Mattlandia]

Mattlandia refers to the land formed by the Matthias family, which ruled until Matthias XXVI was killed one year ago. Now, Daedalus Brinkmann is the ruler, which is the first not Matthias family ruler, but the Brinkmanns are closely related to the Matthias family.

[Aquavian]

The Guardianship of Aquavian took its name from the island it was founded on. The Founders apparently decided that it would be easiest to use that name instead of inventing a new one. In a certain dialect of the Aquavia language, it translates to "Sapphire Island".

[Aelbeos]

Aelbeos derives from the ancient Ammarioc word "El-beocth", meaning hill or mountain. Aelbeos was originally a county-sized territory located in the north of the current principality, stretching along the hills from Gulrest to Lilsdam. The native name was later Armedicised by the Armedian Empire when it drove the elves out during the expansion, and subsequently evolved into the name as it appears today.

Cato Island lends it's name from the near by Cato Reef & Atoll.

Latin for "Moral People".

[Viseria]

Some of them wanted to settle near the mountains, some wanted to settle near the forest, some wanted to settle near the river, and some wanted to settle near the sea. In order to compromise, they settled in an area approximately in the center of all of their desired settlements, and called it "Middleplace".

Unfortunately, our ancestors soon realized that the place they settled was a wasteland with no resources, so the majority of those who survived relocated to the river. Some of the citizens petitioned to have the name changed to "Riverplace", but at that point our first Constitution had just been handwritten, and nobody really felt like copying it all out with the new name, or going through all of the (newly-designed) hoops required to change the name of the nation.

Now, Middleplace is so large, it encompasses that forest, mountain, river that our original citizens wanted to inhabit, though not the sea.

From it's rulers. The Democratic Republic of the Triumvirate is ruled by a three-way alliance between the old government, the aristocracy and a huge corporation that owns 90% of the business. This alliance is called the Triumvirate.

Antirol, in Antar, can loosely be translated as a combination of the words "Anta" meaning "gate" and "Rola" meaning "garden".

Gregorio Martinez chose the name as it was his father's middle name. John Freedomish Martinez Jr. Only this time he switched the H with a T.
