We aren't really the 99999999th colony to be established by the United Timelines. Our name is the result of an ancient naming algorithm that ran out of space for more numbers long before recorded history.

Cill Airne simply means Church of the Sloes. Sloes are the national flower of the nation, and because a church is considered a place of refuge in the nation it could also be translated as refuge of the sloes.

The name for Key West has evolved over time.

First the island was called Cayo Hueso (Bone Cay en espanol). Then the name for Key West was Thompson's Island. Since 1823 the island has been known as Key West.

The colloquial term natives use for the island is The Conch Republic after the local shellfish delicacy.

Saur is the Saurian word of Lizard and is also the name for the King of the Gods in Saurist scripture. Isia is a variation of an Old Drakonian word for land. Therefore, it means Lizard Land in the two most prominent languages in Saurisia, an intentional name intended to unite the once-divided lands that made up the newly-formed nation at the time.

New Lyrane is named after our homeworld. Galactics couldn't pronounce its name, Rireinu, so they called it Lyrane.

Rireinu means 'flowering farmlands': rire 'flower' + inu 'cultivated land'

And it's called "New" because this isn't your grandmother's Lyrane II.

Haydn gets it's name from it's founded: Haydn Williams. They people named it after him and he was crowned in 123 A.D as Emperor Haydn I.
