Generally speaking, we prefer to do our insulting implicitly, in a way that makes it difficult for the person we're insulting to actually retaliate without making themselves look foolish.

For example:

We do this kind of thing all the time, and we consider it to be bonus points if the person doesn't even realize they're being insulted.

Many Sidh profanities revolve around one's genetic legacy, since Sidhae value highly and take great pride in their racial heritage and purity.

"Cunt-born" - someone who has been born naturally, outside the eugenics program, implies that one is a human and therefore inferior both genetically and culturally; Normally used as a racial slur for humans, highly-offensive when addressed to a Sidh. Sometimes intentionally used to insult converts (humans converted to Sidhae)

"Halfie" - despite superficial association with "half-blood", "halfie" is actually a slur for convert, implying that since one was born a human before converting, he/she is only half a Sidh as opposed to those born as Sidhae.

"Abomination" - a human/Sidh hybrid born of a Sidh father and a human mother (the other way around being impossible). Due to considerable genetical differences, many hybrid children are born with deformities. Those who are born healthy, however, inherit some of their Sidh fathers' enhanced traits - increased strength, stamina, speed and intelligence, a robust immune system, etc., although these traits are manifest considerably less than in pure-blooded Sidhae. Abominations are generally reviled and shunned by Sidhae and humans alike, Sidhae going as far as requiring by law to abort any known human/Sidh pregnancy immediately upon discovery. To call one an "abomination" means to imply one is not only a "cunt-born", but also a halfling, something even worse than an ordinary human. Unless the accusation is actually true, a Sidh is expected to retaliate violently for such an insult.

"Xeno" - a generic slur for any non-human alien, used in casual speech and semi-official documents (the proper official terms being "alien" or "non-Terrestrial", i.e., non-human or Sidh).

Other Sidh profanities question the target's loyalty and dedication to the Sidh ideals.

"Amfiat" - usually translated as "traitor", "enemy of the people", although it's proper Sidh meaning is closer to "apostate", effectively meaning someone who has betrayed everything the Sidhae stand for. Legally, being declared "amfiat" is the most severe punishment the Imperial justice system can dispense, considered by far worse than death - effectively, an individual is stripped of citizenship, all legal protection, his genetic legacy is removed from the eugenics program and his name expunged from all official records. Effectively, "amfiat" is the Sidh equivalent to the Orwellian concept of "unperson". "Amfiat" is the ultimate of all Sidh insults, the only word actually forbidden by law under penalty of a serious fine from being casually uttered. This is because the word is considered so offensive that a Sidh calling another Sidh "amfiat" clearly has a deliberate intent to provoke a fight - unless the accusation is true, the targeted Sidh is expected to avenge the insult with deadly violence. Being falsely accused of being "amfiat" is a valid legal defense in murder cases, provided enough witnesses can attest that the insult indeed took place.

"Un-Sidh" - a general word of abuse for any person, thing, idea or activity that is contrary to Sidh traditions and principles.

We use both English and German profanity. However, due to the large Slavic minority here, one can now hear such colourful words from them as well. For instance, calling anyone by a particular derogatory term in Lichester would result in said person recieving a salvo of curses, oaths, or perhaps a fist, if one has provoked the wrong person.

The use of standard English derogatory expletives is common, though depending on place of birth, some also use those in Spanish or Italian. We do have a few domestic words used for such purposes.

Bama - Liar, cheater, crook, con artist, or communist, depending on the context it is used in.

Ross or Rossy - Someone of obvious low birth (because of their manners or appearance) who's only lot in life is to make degrading statements about other people, normally those who have gain success in there lifetimes. A looser who criticizes winners.

A "Jeb" is a person who helps a friend or family member gain something they are not otherwise entitled to (another words, helps a thief).

A "dewey" or dewy is a looser who thinks they are a winner, often through wrongful information.
