Ole survived in the wilderness for 13 years, & Arkamek is a nation that focuses heavily on an eco-friendly infrastructure.

I did a nation Roleplay on another forum where my nation's name was Alyeska, an archaic spelling of Alaska. Alyeksa was aleready taken when I started here so I changed it to Alyekra and lived happily ever after.

IC: The modern Kingdom was founded by a confederation of several neighbouring fiefdoms (Avalon, Beya, Coren, Dev, Edec, Forzen, and Onera). Out of the seven dukes, it was agreed that the Duke of Onera was the most competent ruler of them all. The other dukes surrendered their authority to the Oneran duke and gave him title of King of the Onera Confederation, a new nation where the former fiefdoms became districts while still maintaining their culture and the dukes maintained their titles in a ceremonial role. Over time the name was shortened to Oneracon.

I had the idea of the United Timelines for a while. At first, they were three steampunk nations who discovered dimensional travel before the internal combustion engine. Then I found NationStates and thought it would be more fun to play a tiny sliver of a vast cosmic bureaucracy that is half dead. The sure sign of a dying bureaucracy is that they don't bother to change the number algorithm, so you get a lot of things with 99999999 on it. Of course, I got the idea five minutes before founding the nation, so I've been fleshing out the idea ever since.

I'm a fan of Superman, and all my friends know it, so they would recognize me the instant I joined their region. I also thought it would be cool that, since I was creating my ideal nation, that it would make sense of the people named their nation Fortress of Solitude because they're all Superman fans as well. The inspiration actually all came when I was thinking of a national animal, and after a while I came up with a more humanoid mascot in the form of an Archangel, but I decided that since I was doing powerful, humanoid beings, then I might as well go with Superman. He's a symbol, so it was perfect. Hence, the idea of a nation of Superman fans was born, and everything came together just perfectly.

The meaning behind the name Pacificius is a construct between the Pacific Ocean and our first leader, Claude Gilbert LeMaster’s claims that a united republic on The West Coast would “Someday become a new Rome! A new jewel of western ingenuity!” and to accent that fact added the -ius suffix to Pacific to form the nation’s new name.

We trade things, transport supplies and generally do merchantile things. We are also a guild, in that we are somewhat of a cartel and somewhat of a trade union. Hence the preference for Trade over Merchant. Although we have steadily been becoming more and more similar to a corporation, and changing from trade to transportation. But 'The Transportation Corporation', while the rhyming is good, is too long and makes us sound like some sort of busing service.
