The Non-Human Equality Act - 2013

The act was passed by parliament earlier this morning. It states that all non-human beings shall be given equal protection under the law, and may apply for citizenship in the republic. They may still not run for public office, but businesses may not discriminate against them.

However there is one thing that make me uneasy, barring non humans from public office. I am not human and I am a minister in His Imperial and Royal Majesty's Federal Government. We are glad to see that we aren't the only ones intelligent enough to realize Humans are superior in every way to the other beings the WA so foolishly lists as 'sentient'.

We also respect your ability to decipher the equality of all being throughout the universe, and also the right of you to bar extraterrestrial officials from holding office in your nation, as human rights besides equality do not extend beyond society into government, in accordance to the Galactic Code's Tenement of Sentient Rights and Responsibilities.

Olwe would like to reiterate our previous commendation of Jandaria for their newfound progressive stance on nonhuman rights, and we join others in standing with you against any nations that would attempt to override your sovereignty and free will to force their own misguided Human supremacist beliefs on you.

We do, however, hope that one day nonhumans will be allowed to hold political office in Jandaria. We have several nonhumans in politics here in Olwe, and for the most part it's worked out for the better... it would probably wind up being a good thing for your country, too.
