Delvoir, surprisingly, is extremely environmentally friendly. Railway networks connect the whole country sustainably, as well as each regional capital having it's own subway system. Areas of natural beauty are protected, and sustainable energy has had a lot of energy put behind it.

The Environment is the most important priority in Xoroa.

Almost all forms of Pollution are banned and all cities are 'eco-cities'. We are a Green country, and Industry adapts to the mandate of the nation to protect our Earth mother Gaia, and never harm the Nature around us.

It would be rare to find a nation more environmentally friendly than Xoroa.

Xoroa doesn't have cars in the normal sense, but int he city has 'pods' structured similarly to cars, and they are not privately owned. There are pod depots in regular intervals around the city and they can be picked up and dropped off at a destination of choice. In a typical city, there are also many driverless buses that are powered by biodiesel and electricity. They follow magnets embedded in designated lanes, while a super central computer controls the routes they follow. highways are extremely fast and the pod-cars are sped up by hundreds of wind turbines to the sides of the roads. We also have a skytran with individual pods that go up to 200mph. Transportation is more efficient when thinking Green.

All houses and buildings are ecologically and environmentally responsible.

Pros:
The Evergreen Party is highly influential, and even formed a government at one time.
Most people have a deep, spiritual respect and appreciation for nature.
Logging, fishing, farming, &c. regulations are a mass of bureacracy and red tape that would take several paragraphs to describe.
The wilderness is vast and quite robust all by itself.
There are only eight hydroelectric dams in the whole country.

Cons:
Most of our technology runs on either wood-burning steam engines or coal gas powered combustion engines.
Timber and wood-based products are our nation's #1 export, followed by marine products.

Conclusion: In many ways, the health of our economy is tied to the health of our environment. Therefore, it is in everyone's interest to ensure our environment stays as healthy as possible.
On almost any matter I will discuss, I will negotiate, and I will compromise. But on the matters of liberty, justice, and knowledge I shall not be moved. Those who would impose or support tyranny, corruption, or ignorance are undeserving of consideration, nor understanding, nor even life itself.

Esperantujo 2 is similar. Private motoring is banned. We rely on renewables, wind and solar power. However, we have a number of international airports, and a spaceport is nearing completion.

Saiwania is one of the least environmentally friendly nations in the world. Asides from farmland set aside to grow food, our country has almost completely eliminated natural areas in favor of the asphalt and concrete of urban development. Most of our nation has a very much urban environment and is a concrete jungle to put it mildly.

Our government spends none of our budget on environmental programs and we rank -366 in Eco-Friendliness and -3503.5 in Environmental Beauty according to the WA. Nature is boring, the future is in cities of civilization! :D

Pros:
The national psyche is very environmentalistic, holding a deep respect for the nature and animals
Cars are very, very rare and unpopular, and most long-distance travel is done via less-pollutative public transport such as electric trains
The government generously hands out tax cuts and other incentives for 'green' businesses
Fossil fuels are almost not used to produce power at all, nuclear fuel covers over three-fourths of the nation's power needs and the rest is dominated by renewables
Resource extraction is comparatively modest and is fairly limited territorially

Cons:
Government-enforced regulations for businesses and industries are non-existent, and while no one will buy from a 'dirty' company (see "Pros", pt.1) and it will tank, nothing that is set in stone stops businesses from polluting unless they are literally turning rivers into poison and air into noxious smog, when they can be tried for health and property damage

Extensively. Tsvarchivans are known to be intense environmentalists to the core, and the Whirnak administration more than ever has emphasized environmental policy in his first couple of years as king than any before him. He has promised to reduce waste and enforce strict environmental standards, and reduce pollution to below average levels in his tenure as king. With the people and business on his side, he believes this can be achieved in less than a decade. A lofty goal for a boy that stands less than 5 feet tall.

All our heavy industries are located on the orbital rings of our planets or on planets with environments that make them unsuitable for colonization.
Most mining operations are asteroid based and refining is done on site in refinery ships to minimize the cargo transport requirements needed and to reduce pollution from mines and refineries on populated worlds.

The environment on planets we have designated as garden worlds is pristine since we do all our polluting elsewhere and these worlds are where the bulk of our population lives.

According to the Carbon Output Index, Miramont is classified as a "Low Carbon Economy" due to its attempts at waste reduction, environmental preservation, pollution standards, and energy efficiency. A good achievement for a post-industrial economy, though there's still a tiny bit of room for improvement.

We are very environmentally friendly. Our power is generated mainly through nuclear, solar, and wind power. Our nuclear plants are almost exclusively underground as a last resort to protect the populous, and/or in remote locations.

Our environmental measures are not popular with the Conservative party, though Republicans (our nation's current majority) mainly have no problem with them, though they (President and Senate majority) are trying to find ways of being Environmentally aware without hindering our Free Market too much.

Fatatatutians take a common-sense approach to the environment: if you don't want to live in a dirty house, keep it clean (and there are no "economic advantages" to filth).

Of course, everything Fatatatutians do is also coloured by their innate frugality (cheapness). They are very reluctant to throw anything away that they've paid for, so recycling is universal.

Yes, we just can't exterminate those plants and animals and poison the ground so they never come back fast enough.

Quite. Of course, our standards for environmental friendliness are different because we are robots, and we have different needs than biologicals.

Planet Cybertron

Cybertron, nicknamed the Metal Planet, is not meant for biologicals. In fact, ANY biological species would be considered an invasive species here. Therefore, one of the ways we care for Cybertron's environment is to make sure that it will NOT support biolife. That said, it's a beautiful planet for us robots.

First, recycling: We recycle everything. Used oil, old parts, empty Energon cubes, entire Decepticon bodies, you name it. This is not because we want to be "environmentally friendly." It's because we have no source of natural resources on this planet. That means we have to fly through space to some other planet and mine/raid/drill there. That's work, and it's expensive to haul stuff that far. Recycling is less work and it's cheaper. Our recycling technology is top notch. We even have a way to throw an entire Decepticon body (massively mixed materials) into a smelting pit and then automatically separate the molten components. (We do a lot of whole-body recycling since we dump our bodies and get new ones when they start needing too many repairs.)

Air quality is great from our perspective. That is to say, the air is kept free of visible smog and other visible contaminants. Massive oxygen generators take the place of trees and oceans to ensure that O2 levels remain at the right percentage to support combustion engines. Invisible components like CO and CO2, however, are extremely abundant. There is enough CO here to kill a mammal within a couple of breaths. But again, Cybertron is not for biologicals. As for the source of the CO and CO2, it's all those combustion engines we mentioned. Each one of us has a massive one. Since the engine is what powers a Decepticon's body, they run constantly.

Water itself is considered a pollutant here. It causes rust and shorts. Still, it is needed for some industrial uses. What little there is, is kept in tightly controlled underground reservoirs and piped to solvent factories through equally-tightly controlled conduits. All Cybertronian water is treated with powerful full-spectrum biocide; we know well how microbes will live in the tiniest bit of water if it is left plain.

The Ground is kept free of pollution (including water). All solid and liquid waste has scrap value because of the recycling system. If someone litters, a scrounger will quickly pick up the litter and add it to his cart. The same goes for industrial "litter" like used oil, old anti-freeze, dead circuit boards, and the like. A surprising amount of Decepticons make their money by collecting our society's offal and selling it to the relevant recycling facilities. These people look like bums from dealing with all of the dirty material, but in reality they're usually middle or lower middle class. It's not a bad gig if you can stake out a territory.

Earth - A Stunning Environment Now, But What Happens 1,000 Years from Now?

We really don't care about Earth's environment at all, but you'd never know that by looking at this conquered mining planet. Ecologically, the place is doing great! There are trees, jungles, and marshes all over the place, and in most areas, the pollution level is almost nil. Needless to say, the presence of these habitats has caused animal life to burst forth in abundance. Earth is doing far better than it was when we found it.

The reason it does so well despite our lack of concern for it is simply that we enslaved all of the humans who survived our initial onslaught. The slaves were then confined to a few high-density worksites, and the rest of the planet was effectively abandoned. This brought deforestation and all human-caused pollution to an immediate halt. Most of the planet's environmental problems ended right there.

Then our recyclers saw these "plastic islands" made of junk out in the ocean, and instead of seeing them as an insurmountable problem, they considered them to be loads of FREE STUFF for their facilities. They quickly hired some cargo bots to adapt themselves to sea landing, equipped them with massive shovel "arms" that could be extended from their holds, and sent them to the islands. It only took a few months for the giant carriers to pick up all of that plastic and fly it away to Cybertron for processing.

Then came Megatron Energon. After doing the math, the company realized that there was a good half billion Energon Cubes' worth of spilled oil scattered around Earth just going to waste. It certainly wasn't going to waste anymore after that figure was determined! The company's engineers soon figured out a way to recover all of the spillage for an easy "raid." The ground was temporarily scarred as oil-saturated earth was backhoed out and run through a separation system, but once the now-clean soil was put back, it sprouted life almost immediately.

These and similar operations quickly cleared out the biggest sources of pollution that had been plaguing Earth for generations. In fact, the generation of humans that existed when we invaded was still alive when all of the projects were complete. We even took many of them out of the mines for a short tour to show off how much better Earth was under our dominion. Almost all of them were shocked that we not only made a dent, but had outright eliminated the pollution problems.

Of course, we didn't do any of it for the sake of some organic mudball. We did it because our recycling capabilities meant that there was MONEY in all that spilled oil, jettisoned plastic, dumped PCBs, and other such detritus. Free raw materials mean that the end product made from them is mostly profit. The fact that Earth did better once we gleaned every speck of that kind of stuff off of it is a side effect.

There are a few places on Earth that are fairly barren, though - our mines and oil fields. The vast amount of activity that takes place turns the immediate area into a sandy wasteland. Also, the concentration of Decepticons around them means that the air at the surface is full of exhaust.

Still, biological waste, heavy metals and other such pollutants generated by the mines and drilling are all recycled. Biological waste is processed into fertilizer and fuel by the on-site rendering plant, and mining pollution like cyanide is hauled to a centralized recycling plant (large work sites have these facilities on site). Just dumping tailings into rivers is seen as stupidly wasteful - toxic aspects can be reused right at the mine once separated back out, and rock-based residue is used to make ceramic insulators for the electronics in our bodies.

Overall, our mines and oil fields are mere dots compared to the vast amount of wild lands on Earth. Now that we've ruled the planet for 100 years, it's hard to tell that humans were ever as numerous as they were. Their cities are all grown over, and in most places, the trees are about 80 feet tall by now.

It must be noted, though, that our mining operations are much bigger underground than they are at the surface. Wherever there are minerals, the planet is honeycombed, and every year we dig deeper. Earth looks very great now, but our geologists predict that the entire place will collapse in on itself within 1,000 years if our current rate of mining continues. By then, though, we will have extracted everything worth having, so only the formerly-human immigrants care at all.
