Yes, the House of Kommer has ruled the Kingdom of Opgevaar during the periods of 1862-1917, and from 1953 to the present day. Opinion polling suggests around 45% of the population support the monarchy outright, and 39% generally support it. In recent years however, the number of people who disagree with it has risen, today 9% of people generally oppose the monarchy, while 7% oppose it outright. Most opponents support the two smallest parties in parliament, the Democratic Centre Union and the Greens and Socialists.

The House of Kommer is based in the city of Kommerstad, where they originate from and their main palace, the Palace of Kommer, is located. However, King Julian II and his predecessors have spent most of their time in Paleisstad-Leuvenheim, a small town located an hour out of the largest city of Haarvalge, and the location of the Palace of Leuvenheim. Since 1953, the monarchy has had little power, serving as joint Heads of State with the directly elected State-Minister.

We do have a monarchy. The current king holds most of the power, but there are more local governments that share quite a bit of power with the monarchy.

With the overthrow of the previous regime by the Provisional Government earlier this year, Queen Elizabeth II has disavowed the new Dominion government. In her place, a Governor-General (also Prime Minister) holds the executive and legal powers in place of the Monarch. The Dominion may be willing to reinstate the House of Windsor, but the current conditions make neither part particularly interested.

95% of Agonyans including President Constantine would like to have Queen Elizabeth II reappointed as head of state.

Successive British Governments have vetoed this request as they do not understand our policy on homosexualism. This is despite being told that homosexualism does not exist in Agonya and the policy has majority support among the population.
We also have an exceptional international record on transsexual persons rights and liberties, probably better than many other civilised countries.

We still celebrate the Queen's birthday and pray for our Sovereign Lady in religious services.

We sincerely hope that one day an enlightened British Government will grant our request and that the Agonyan people will then be able to stand proudly, once again, as loyal subjects of Her Majesty.

God Save The Queen.

Our Head of State holds the title of King or Queen, but they do not rule as a traditional monarch would since they are elected.
This came about due to the realisation in the early 1900s that having a monarch with power that wasn't elected was undemocratic - eventually, royalty was abolished and the title of King/Queen was transferred to refer to a democratically elected head of state.

═───╡❖╞───────────────────────────═ EPHYRA ═───────────────────────────╡❖╞───═

═───╡❖╞──────────────═ Issue of Dispute ═──────────────╡❖╞───═
═───╡❖╞────────═ Monarchy of the Undying Empire ═────────╡❖╞───═

The Undying Empire of Ephyra, also known as the Great Empire of the Sun, has had a monarchy since its inception. Due to the collapse of the Freehold and the exodus of the Ephyral back to their ancestral homeland, an individual named Vahaenyx Anogaryen Raptaris, a Sharinvohtys of the Ephyral legions, assumed command of the incapacitated Senate and Assembly and led the refugee tide back to the heartland.

Upon arriving in Ephyra, Vahaenyx proclaimed himself the Sicaenos, a title derived from the first ever king of the Old Empire. The restored Senate, consisting of lords of the empire, offered their fealty to the man, proclaiming him as the Asahlinion, or the 'noble'. Adopting these titles into his name, Vahaenyx took for himself the hold title of the Šarrysšarroti, the King of Kings, interpreted also as Emperor. In 646 CE, or year 1 NA, Vahaenyx Anogaryen Raptaris was proclaimed the Sharinvohtys Sicaenos Vahaenyx I Anogaryen Raptaris Asahlinion, and would later earn the title of Imperishable. Restoring to prominence the worship of the thirteen gods who had survived the cultural destruction of the Ephyral centuries before, Vahaenyx cited the ancient traditions of Nalarion, the god of blood, and took for his wife his own sister, Rhae. Fathering a legacy of pureblooded children, blessed by the gods, he incurred their fortune and built the Great Empire of the Sun, or the Hyponšarrion Išarȳti.

Known henceforth as the Anogaryen Raptaris Dynasty, or simply as the Old Royalty, Vahaenyx I ascended into godhood upon his death at the decree of his son and heir, the Emperor Orys I Anogaryen Raptaris Asahlinion. Orys I continued the tradition of ritual and favoured incest, taking his own sister as his bride. The tradition was restored amongst all the nobility, and no longer would the Ephyral live in fear of persecution by the Muslims who had swept in over their site of refuge. With the foundation of their Great Empire, and the right to rule of the Anogaryen Raptaris line cemented in divine blessing and ascendance to a Pantheon, the monarchy was installed.

The Old Royalty of the Anogaryen Raptaris has maintained power in Ephyra for over one thousand years, a feat attributed to their obvious divine blood. An Imperial cult circles the Emperor, who acts as the High Priest of Ishax, the chief solar deity of the empire. The current reigning Emperor is Vahaenyx XII Anogaryen Raptaris Asahlinion. Born as Taeron, he took the name Vahaenyx upon his ascension to honour his father, Vahaenyx XI. Taeron was preceded in his reign by his elder brother, Vagarys IV, who died having begat only one child, a daughter, Rhaelinor. To cement his reign, Taeron took two wives. As per his duty, his sister Rhaela became his Great Royal Wife, and his niece Rhaelinor was also wed to him to prevent her from being used as a tool of rebellion. Vahaenyx has reigned for well over a decade, and has sired ten children upon his two wives. As High Priest of Ishax, he is invested with the authority of the gods and possesses the divine right of kings.

The royal family is extensive, and incest is common within their ranks. The supposed blood purity of the family keeps them immune from physiological side-effects, and many regard the princes and princesses of the family as possessing an allure, grace, and beauty beyond mortal attainment. The Anogaryen Raptaris family reigns as gods above man, and are not so much a monarchy as they are a pantheon themselves.

Swinsia is a Constitutional Monarchy and thus the royal family are more ceremonial and head of state and the church. Currently, the head of the royal family (After the previous 99-year-old Elizabeth VII died 6 months ago) queen is the 34-year-old Queen Alexandra IV who caused quite a stir when it was announced 10 years ago she was dating, then opposition minister for women and equality Sarah Lee. They have now been married for 6 years.

The Socialist Union never had a monarchy.

Prior to the current state that the Socialist Union had, the state that existed before was a socialist state, but did not advocate what the current state advocates. Prior to the Industrial Revolution, the present day socialist state was an Agrarian oriented land that was composed of urban cities, and rural communities. Society was more rural prior to the Industrial Revolution than it was after the Industrial Revolution. The Urban cities, such as Berlin or Hamburg, were ruled by local socialist groups. The Rural areas were composed of rural labourers who lived off of their land. There were also much higher amounts of religious hermits who isolated themselves from society, monasteries that sheltered religious monks and nuns, and family oriented collective farms. More people lived in Rural areas than they did in Urban areas. However, even before the Industrial Revolution, Urban areas had higher standards of living than Rural areas did.

The present day socialist state was more religious back then. From the time that humanity started to the rise of Christianity, the people were either Pagans, or they were unbelievers. When Christianity prevailed from Judaism, an ancient monotheistic religion, Christianity ruled society, and Christianity later destroyed Paganism and Judaism. There was the Roman Catholic Church, who was lead by the Pope. The Pope had no power over society, the Pope was rather more influential to society. Centuries after the Roman Catholic Church formed, believing reformists wanted to rebel against the Roman Catholic Church, claiming that it is too oppressive. These reformers were commonly known as "Protestants" or even "Lutherans." Their Church had no leader unlike the Roman Catholic Church did. Religion had more social and cultural power back then than it does today. Religion had no official power however, and local armies did not protect religion.

When the Industrial Revolution started in the early 19th Century, present day Urban cities expanded, more people lived in Urban cities, the standard of living increased, society became less religious, and education rates heavily increased. This easily allowed a centralized state to form, unifying local Urban governments and armies, and creating the current global Socialist Union that exists today. In 1895, the Pope has been banned from showing fame in public. The Christian Churches have been banned from having public influence over society, and holidays are banned from being practiced in public. This freed society from religion's ignorance.

We in fact have three monarchies: the House of Adede, House of Eldoren, and House of Cenaea. These houses once ruled over regions that are now part of Charellia, but have since become democratic. The Queen of Adede has an official residence and some ceremonial duties, including giving assent to laws passed in the region. The Prince of Cenaea holds an official role in government as the keeper of Cenaean traditions and culture, but lacks real power. The King of Eldoren has no meaningful role in government at all. There is a throne in the provincial parliament where he can observe if he wishes, but he has not once used it in his entire reign.

Yes. Operating in similar ways to the United Kingdom, King Oliver I is the reigning monarch, coming to power late November to early December. We also have no constitution (not even a basic law like Saudi Arabia does. Instead, much like the UK, we use a not-very-complicated-compared-to-the-United-Kingdom system of legislation.

We was, until the bloody revolution where the royal council, full of dynasties' representations (there was that time when dynasties act like political parties), killed by bullets, swords, sickle, and any household items. Now, the royal council is becoming a museum, commemorating the revolution complete with blood stains all over the walls. And now, Jaohuang is a federal democratic republic with parliamentary rule* after some sort of anocracy or presitator (President + dictator) rule.

*And, psst, a little touch of corpocratocracy

The last of the empire is now on Jaohuang's puppet, Pulodaran, an "absolute" monarchy ruled by a ten year old girl who's really want to ride Rainbow Dash and a big fangirl of Undertale, especially for Temmie. She is the last blood of Tirtanggapura dynasty beside her father, Dharmangga II. Her grandpa, Dharmangga I, was supposed to be the Grand Emperor of Jaohuang if we are still a monarchy.

Yes, the Empire has always had a monarchy ever since its foundation 447 years ago. It is a constitutional monarchy which means the Emperor/Empress is mostly a figurehead, although they do possess reserve powers that they can utilise so long as it is constitutional for them to do so.

The monarchy is elective, with the person who ascends to the Imperial Throne being determined by the Imperial Conclave, rather than through hereditary inheritance. The Conclave is comprised of delegates from each province and Arcadia that are chosen by the provincial and Arcadian governments. The number of delegates each province and Arcadia sends to the Conclave is equal to the number of constituencies each has in the Imperial Assembly plus the number of Imperial Senators each has in the Imperial Senate. When the Conclave is in session, the delegates determine who the next Emperor/Empress shall be from a list of pre-determined candidates, that are appointed to the candidacy by the former Emperor/Empress at any time throughout their reign on the advice of the provincial governments.

After several rounds of voting have taken place and the Conclave has elected a candidate, an Empire-wide referendum is held to confirm whether or not the public supports the candidate that has been selected. Should the candidate receive a double majority in support of them (a majority of the national population and a majority of the population in at least four provinces) then they are officially confirmed as the new Emperor/Empress and are crowned in a coronation held in Arcadia. If the public rejects the candidate however, the Conclave is held again until a new candidate is elected and approved by referendum.

Zendes has a monarchy which possesses near-absolute power.

There is also a unicameral parliament known as the "Chamber of the People" which has a largely advisory role.
Though it cannot propose or pass legislation, it may still debate it. Historically, the sovereign has rarely gone
against the whim of their elected representatives of the people.

Furthermore, it is expected that princes and princesses of Zendes will serve in parliament as part of their education.
They, unlike other members of the Chamber, do not have to be elected and are appointed by the sovereign.
