Television technically runs for 24 hours on all state-owned channels, but the midnight hours between 2 AM and 5 AM are simply replays, commonly the news or a musical.
At 2 AM, a televisioner announces that the channel will stop displaying programs and go to replays. Then follows a 30 minute long video of a different kinds of fish swimming in a tank, before finally going to replay.
It starts again at 5 AM with Allo Solet (Hello Soled) which runs until 6 AM.

Although it's becoming more common for television to run 24 hours per day (even though most of the late night programming consists of infomercials from other countries), on state-run television networks at 11pm the "Goodnight Sheep" will appear.

The Goodnight Sheep is a cartoon sheep who is depicted going to bed, with the national anthem playing in the background. At the end a voiceover is heard saying "Goodnight from Alizerian Television". And then broadcasting goes dead until 6am the next day.

Those that still do may display that particular channels logo, a round of pretty pictures or just go black relaying information on that channel's 'open' times. For Example, HCNA (a major news netwrok with eight specialized channels) 5, 6, 7 and 8 will close from 12:00 to 6:00 the next morning, instead it will display a slowly rotating HCNA logo with classical music playing in the background.

TV channels usually run 24 hours in Stormaen. However, a technicality in the law requires every TV station signing off to play the National Anthem (O Flower of Stormaen). This was originally only meant to apply to SBC which has been defunct since 1979. Given that all TV channel charters following it are assigned to "assume the mandate and function of SBC", technically, they all have to abide by the rules imposed on SBC by the Royal Charter for the Stormaen Broadcasting Company Ltd. (later changed to 'Stormaen Broadcasting Corporation'); one of the clauses requiring that stations off with the National Anthem followed by an announcement of, "God save the Queen".

Few channels, even those that do not broadcast 24 hours, actually comply with the measures and there's no fines or penalties for not doing so.
