Elections are only used for legislation and local government, as we view the latter as being best-suited for elections and whatnot. This means that all decisions are made unanimously among affected parties. We view democracy as mob rule, and one of the most barbaric forms of government.

They're viewed as useless because the entire population votes on referenda, meaning we have no congress or senate.
