Your country and smaller aggressors?

I'm just curious as to how others handle matters when interacting with smaller and lesser developed nations? Recently, we had an issue regarding an assassination attempt on a very high level member of our government by an agent working on behalf of a smaller, more militant nation. We took action by sending the same message back that if they would like to play ball, we shall. Inscribed in the side of a bullet. (Metaphorically, of course.)

So tell me, how do you go about handling situations with "lesser" nations? Politics? Money? Force?

Force is the most efficient and persuasive of the options; force is the one, which we employ.

If a smaller, weaker country does harm to Unilisian citizens, territory, or property, we respond with the same force applied. Trade sanctions, assassinations, and retaliatory thermobaric strikes are the most common responses; only on rare occasions with countries that have earned our respect do we negotiate diplomatically.

From most of what I'd seen, I figure i'd get a bunch of bleeding-heart "Lets talk and trade for peace!" posts. good to see others still believe in proper application of force.

Ignore them... they typically wind up being dogpiled for launching n00ks anyway.

We've fortunately never had to quite deal with small nations being militant.
We have an Iran analogue in our region who plays the part rather convincingly, but has never been a target or interest of military action. Other smaller countries than the People's Republic have been dealt with as part of multinational taskforces, in response to the astoundingly frequent occurrence within Sapphire of small countries being effectively captured by rebel or terrorist forces.

Well it depends.Most of the time we would see to that force is used appropiatly.If there is an assasination attempt we go for an assasination and we make sure our sniper does not miss.
Well an attack on our population property etc will be responded in force of appropiate measures.If there is a significant lost of life we go with war.Only against nations that are hold in high esteam we go for diplomacy but even there we put down a lot of military presure.

Only once have we gone to war with a nation when one of our counts and another 6000 people were killed by an destroyer that mistook our cruise ship with military ship and fired upon it

Indeed, when dealing with a smaller nation, whose unprecedented arrogance instills in its leaders the idea to attack Reichsland or its interests, shall be on the recieving end of an attack that is doubled in terms of force and pain. Rarely are smaller nations such as the ones mentioned above critical to the survival of our international trade. Thus, diplomacy is thrown out of a window with considerable force.

On topic: We'd laugh in their face and then crack their planet in half and mine it for minerals. If they had more than one solar system under their control we'd just send in the imperial legion to steamroll them.

We would just laugh at them before kicking the living crap out of them. They're hardly a serious threat, you just have to beat them up a bit and they'll learn to leave you alone.

We would let any number of multi-national corporations that sponsor our political elite to deal with them using every tool at their disposal.

No need to overtly make hay when one can insert purposefully inferior parts and products into their economic infrastructure, as well as many nasty viruses into their electronic infrastructure.

Force. We use force to deal with annoying "lesser" nations around us.

If a weaker nation (or an alliance of weak nations, for that matter) tried to cause trouble with us, then we would just swoop in and assimilate them. In one quick and terrible blitzkrieg, they would vanish, and life would go on. (with the addition of a new district, or possibly region, added to the Empire) If they were originally on good terms with us, then we would offer a bounty on whoever ordered the attack/war/assassination/etc. If that country did not help hunt down that person or group of people, then we would proceed as with any other weaker country.

Since we spend no money on military, we can't do anything about them.

If they are causing trouble and they are weaker than we attack them the odds of victory is on our side.

We use political persuasion as our first choice. We could turn them into a potential ally, or simply convince them of not wasting their time.

If that doesn't work then the Britannian Navy crosses the ocean to have a talk with them.

If another nation attacks the Alliance or Alliance citizens in any way, they shall be beaten down, not destroyed, for we believe in mercy to the vanquished.

If their small, we mostly don’t bother them since they don‘t pose a threat to our military since ours is bigger and more powerful then their's. But if their a more serious threat, pick on us too much and have an army as big as ours. Then they’ll have hell coming after them, they'll be all doomed and their only mercy is through us!

No we don't kill them all or something like that, we just give them a chance and show them who's the big bad boss!

our infratructure is well developed and we have
a Formitable military force structures to dispatch

In the situation where we were "threatened" by
a smaller aggressor, we would go out of our way to
raid the Nation's capital and then leave, just
to make an example I their government.
