For me it's any collection of ships in my motley fleet, provided they've got :not:Tomahawks jammed into their VLSes.

Yeah, you can mount Tomahawks and on a limited distance you can probably engage with your 5 inch guns

Build a CV version of an Arleigh Burke? They are the size of a WW2 Cruiser, so conversion to a CVL isn't that farfetched.

I've always wanted to build a riverine aircraft carrier... that actually happened in Vietnam and the Russian Civil War. An Interwar era version might be amusing, it could feature atuogyros. Of course nowadays, one could just build a dedicated drone mother ship. God only knows what the point would be though.

She could be laid down in 1918-1919, with two Low Angle guns, rebuilt in the 1940's with diesel engines with and DP guns, then add a helicopter pad in the 1970's. Have her acting as a mothership for PBR's.

I have a guy in our region who is all of a sudden RPing that he has railguns and coil guns and sonar absorbing bio-skin armor that is also depth charge proof and also he has perfected small thorium reactors that he runs everything on and its just...

So what do I do? Our region has prided itself for a long time on being a Modern Tech region, we allow some NS wank (like ionizing plasma paint stealth and crap like that) but i didnt expect the slippery slope to slide so far so fast. I mean before long I am going to have people building these things on tanks and saying "I made the thorium reactors even smaller."

Right now its a naval issue, I need to figure something out to just stop this.
