The rocket booster is there to actually get the missile off the deck of the ship, unless you have some insanely powerful engine that can get the thing up to a safe altitude in two seconds.

The rocket booster is there to actually get the missile off the deck of the ship, unless you have some insanely powerful engine that can get the thing up to a safe altitude in two seconds.

I'm using the Standard 2MR (RIM-66) as the base, not the Standard 2ER (RIM-67). MR doesn't use a booster.

Edit: Assuming you were referring to the Standard 2 and Standard-P missiles? If you're not I'd like to hear what I'm missing.

Unless, what is the likelihood of making a coilgun launcher for missiles? We're not talking something powerful enough to sling it at Mach 5, but perhaps something to get it up and high enough away from the ship to begin an optimal launch in-air?

Replace the Coilgun with something sane, and you have a Cold Launch.

Shipbucket's forum has a guide to shipbuilding which you may find useful, from the early 20th century up to the present, for destroyers and frigates.
Unfortunately it lacks references for the distinct Soviet shipbuilding style of 1975-1990 (i.e., heavy AShM battery but poor AA/RCS reduction) but as an introduction it is still very useful for you to take a look at.

Yes there is. It is mounted on the port side next to the hangar entrance on the starboard side.

Isn't the Fuso pretty much the same as the Ise Class? If so then I say go for it.

MT navy. So no BBs or Cruisers.

Aside: CVNs are our most powerful combattants, there are also CVS, DDG, FFG, FS and SSK organized in flotillas and mission task forces. I got some SSBNs, SSN in the strategic deterrend force.
They are supported by minor combattants for coastal, minewarfare and patrol roles. And several none combattans as LPDs, tenders, oilers and supply ships.
