My navy has some vessels but few major combatants and little seagoing experience. Actually the most important combatants are 6 Yohannes make SSK and 4 Corvettes. But a major upgrade is expected. As navy's budget has been growing.

89 vessels and growing to expected to reach 100. Most are minor combatants: We only own 6 M-Class frigates+4, 4 C-40 corvettes, 6 SSKs and one CVS.

"Super Dreadnought" sounds menacing, but it would be more accurate to call ships like these "Super Pre-Dreadnoughts."

Damn you soode.

Until I see a Super Ship of the Line my life will not be complete.

We need to make this and put it into space.

Pegasus is the new version of the Asy-Nor class super dreadnought. The ship is currently under the command of Admiral Nikolas Kristofer. Work was completed for 1 year 6 months, when she was commissioned into the Arnorian fleet. Pegasus is the largest dreadnought ever built by Arnoria. The result was a battleship design based on six main requirements: strong horizontal armor protection, 16 cannons place, 4 for each main-turret, a top speed of at least 60 knots, a main artillery best fitting to the ship size, a good protection against mine hits and a good AA turrets strongly enough against twenty fighters. The dreadnought is the only Arnorian ship designed with a four-nuclear reactor propulsion plant.

((Note: Design is made by me, do not copy without my permission! All rights reserved.))

I would ask for permission to use it if it didn't have so many flaws.

Why do I love the Kuma for absolutely no reason? http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/0/07/Kuma_ONI.jpg/300px-Kuma_ONI.jpg
If someone could give me any recommendations for a modern ship that can be efficient and look like the Kuma for my pleasure please give me info, or tear apart my ideas of making WWII stuff work in MT.

I think the best idea is to use any WWII like ships by digging a canal, putting the ship inside it and surrounding it with sad and calling it a fortress.

EDIT:Oh wait you were suggesting Harpoon Missiles weren't you?

I suppose I should have said more. This ship is essentially a step towards that which must not be named. It is an attempt to make a large ship which can repel any attacks and then destroy whatever threatens it. Unfortunately, there is no protection from a determined enemy attacking from multiple directions with however many missiles they feel the need to spam at this vessel. They only need to fire enough missiles from a number of smaller vessels or aircraft to overwhelm your ships targeting and FCS. Once that is accomplished, it will only take more Harpoons (or whatever other type of AShM they are using) to sink this vessel than a normal one.

So you are talking about the Longswordship?

The marines are probably kept around because:

1: Security of naval facilities
2: A better trained force of infantry, with light amounts of armor and typically motorized or mechanized
3: In part with train, able to perform heliborne, airborne, and also regular amphibious assaults
4: Just Soviet traditions that would cost to much to get rid off
5: The Navy keeps it so they can get extra funding to go into their shitty boats

That Ukrainian Navy nation is going to be mad at you.

Palakistan wrote:First, is a small sub craft, designed for 1 or 2 occupants a realistic weapon? How effective would small Subfighters be? I assume they would be hard to find in the water, and pretty agile. But are limited in not only range but firepower. So how would a normal sub fair against these small but armed mini subs?

The Japanese had 2-man subs. But they were designed to sneak into ports and kamikaze enemy ships by parking next to one and detonating explosives inside the sub.

Kaiten was one person, and slammed into ships like a torpedo. If you are talking about Type A Kō-hyōteki, that wasn't kamikaze.

The submarine I am talking about wasn't the Kaiten. And now I remember that the explosive device onboard was there in case if you were about to be captured or if it ran out of torpedos and the sub was about to be sunk or captured.

So right now, I have a carrier and 4 escorts. I am attacking a much, much larger enemy fleet who could easily destroy me if they were prepared. However, the enemy has no idea this fleet exists, and my fleet is attacking from behind. How much damage can I do? The enemy fleet has 3 carriers, which are the main targets, although I can attack more. They have received no resistance, no attacks, and are starting to most likely feel overconfident and likely unprepared for any attacks.

Their heavy armor is virtually useless, their guns will never get into combat range of an enemy ship.

You can mount missiles and torpedoes on a lighter ship.

This battleship would lose a fight to four Arleigh Burke-class destroyers.

Are you kidding? You wouldn't need ships
