If we're just doing SW vs. (the other thing, I already forgot), the Eclipse and Eclipse II aren't even close to the best thing in our arsenal. There's the Corsair, which can literally rip the cores out of stars and put them somewhere else; the Eye of Palpatine, which can destroy planets yet is indistinguishable from a normal moon; and of course the World Devastators, which could eat resources off a planet and were literally indestructible. Not to mention non-warship weapons such as the Thought Bomb which could kill trillions of people in less than a second, the Mass Shadow Generator which can create black holes, and of course the Galaxy Gun...which is a gun...that can attack galaxies...with very explosive nuclear devices.

So what you say effectively is that if the Imperium with its mass quantities of smaller ships able to avoid being hit and an actual variety of sized ships could swarm this behemoth and if it is destroyed you just lost 704,200 valuable forces whereas the amount of men projected to destroy that from the Imperium side is probably much less. Hey it's big enough, we find a way to drop a Titan on that thing and you're done. though the Titan would be lost in the eventual explosion 1,500 men is suffcient numbers to sacrifice. Thus saying the Empire also gave up the clone army and that big of a loss would be crippling to the navy.

Nothing is indestructible my friend. The rifle quote, completely unrelated and inane as a response. Creating a blackhole? Really that's not even practical you run the risk of destroying everything you built or yourself. You don't know if the event horizon will keep expanding, you are asking for hellfire there. The Imperium doesn't bother with destroying planets because we are trying to actually get a use from them! What's the point in raping a planet for it's resources when you could get more if you just subjugate it. There lies the issue of ground troops in which I suggest we move to our own thread.
