Name Adjective: Hircine

Species: Capra Aegagrus Hircus Hominids (Omnivorous)
Hircines are horned goat-like humanoids indigenous to the 4th planet (Hircus Prime).
There are for main groups of Hircine (Alpus, Nubid, Le Maan, Boour).
Hair color, number of horns, facial shapes are widely varied.
While Hircines have no psionic abilities, They have a biological resistance to psionic intrusion.

Language: Aegagrus-Hircine dialect of Braybleat

Background: Hircines evolved from caprines that roamed the many forests and glades of Hircus. Early tribal struggles over superstitions and prideful ideologies, kept the people in a true age of darkness and conflict.
In 10,000 B.C.E. came the Age of Development. While Alpus (a major tribe) were erecting large edifices and ziggurats ,
They discovered a vessel that was not of Hircus. It appeared that some of the equipment was still functioning and was full of strange devices. Today we would call it a colony ship. Though no one had apparently survived the great calamity that befell them, a great many floral and other biological entities entered the Hircus Ecosystem; the total ramifications of this are still not completely known but the concensus is this was part of Hircines development into the species they are today.
Armed with this Hircus shattering revelation, the Hircines began there journey of development and their eventually journey into space.

Religion:
Hircus citizens are civic minded as opposed to being religious. They venerate great thinkers, heroes and those that have added to the commonwealths well being. The closest activity would be Tir'ran. Tir'ran Is an intregal part of the Hircine way of life it is a martial art, a philosophy and a mental discipline.

Civic mindedness is the polymer that binds our society together,personal and governmental morality, correctness of social relationships, justice and sincerity and Tir'ran is a part of it. Healthy mind and body allows one a better opportunity to achieve this goal .
Tir'ran has many moves. The head butt is what Hircines do best and is a favorite.

RP Style
I RP Known tech from Star Trek, Star trek Role-playing game, (Ships,starbase and general FTL and tech), Star Wars, Star Wars Role-playing game D6(Ground Vehicles because there is more focus on them), and some WH40k Roleplaying game (some small arms, Power armor and things acquired during NSRP), Steven Long's Spacedock (Part of Star Trek RPG, for ship equipment sizes and armaments). Government based on (Sid Meier's virtual democracy, Star Trek UFP and Cardassian Structures)
My factbook is built around this.
I am not against other forms of tech, this is how I RP. I am interested in galaxy story line development as well as planetary backgrounds. which is why I am not a hundreds of thousands of worlds player or a quadrillians of people player unless its RPed and story line established.

Government and Economy
Hircus is a Virtual Forum Democracy. A Form of Direct Participatory Democracy. The majority of issue are done in forum format at the local and planetary level. Representatives are elected to insure tort law and disputes are settled fairly. They also represent the commonwealth when dealing with other species. Titles among Hircus citizens are not as important as there deeds are. Most titles are so other cultures have a point of reference. The citizens enjoy story telling and theater so much as it seems to have trumped the need to develop religious traditions.

Economics: Futuristic Participatory Economics.
It uses participatory decision making as an economic mechanism to guide the production, consumption and allocation of resources in a given society.
The underlying values that parecon seeks to implement are equity, solidarity, diversity, workers' self-management and efficiency. (Efficiency here means accomplishing goals without wasting valued assets.) It proposes to attain these ends mainly through the following principles and institutions:

- workers' and consumers' councils utilizing self-managerial methods for making decisions
-balanced job complexes
-remuneration according to effort and sacrifice
-participatory planning

A Work-Life Balance
The economics are very non-corporate. With the increase of technology more and more of the citizens basic needs are attended to for little or no currency.
There are many things that seem like work but people retain more for there asthetical value. e.g. Farming, Crafting. Hircus' natural herd tendencies and empathic social nature, allow it's citizens to recognize the needs of there fellow citizens.
The Very low crime rate prevents a lot of the ills normally suffered in society. With the advent of robotic and replicator technology, most basic needs are met.

Magnesium compounds are in great supply as the Magnasite and Olivine resources show. The result being large broad leaf foliage plants and architecture that give the buildings an emerald and crystal sheen to the buildings.
Corona Ultra Spice A flavor enhancing condiment, gathered from the seeds of the broad leafed Corona Officinalis
Magnasite a mineral which could interfere with sensor and transporter functions. Used in the production of their warp reactors.

Flora and fauna
Hircus avian species are incredibly aggressive and caution must heeded when near all but the smallest.
Caudipteryx is our national animal and an integral part of Hircus eco-system.

Perdi are a avian found near coasts and inland waterways. They will eat nearly anything they can fit in there mouths.

Magyar are another form of Caudipteryx. Don't let the pretty feathers fool you these 1.7 meter birds are very aggressive.

Sorna are true avian predators. While the other large birds eat smaller eggs and rodents these will eat larger prey.

Werp are named by the sound the make. They live in colder water and arctic areas.

Maka are a plump water fowl. Many are domesticated. There eggs are a delicious part of a healthy breakfast.

Rhokos are Proto Lepus and are a very abundant prey animal within the ecosystem.

Hircine range hounds exist both wild and domesticated. They are swift pack hunters in the wild. they do require some training for domesticated ones.

Steppe Tortoise is a familiar sight on the plains.

Krate Fish are the most abundant salt water game fish.

Arc Finn are the most abundant fresh water game fish

Capracarcarus is the Hircus prime version of a shark.

Hircine cetaceans are far more aggressive predators than on other worlds.

Hircus Prime foliage is quite extensive.
