Silar's electoral system is based on the mixed-member proportional system of voting wherein the number of seats for each of Silar's Sovereignities (states) are doubled giving each Sovereignity 200 speakers for a grand total of 600 Speakers of High Parliament (SHP). Of the 200 seats in each Sovereignity, 100 are filled through direct election in the 100 electoral districts determined by each Sovereignity's government. The next 100 are filled at large by a proportional vote of the electorate in the entire Sovereignity by which a voter selects a single party to vote for. The 100 seats in each Sovereignity are then divided up between the party based on the percentage of votes earned in the election. The parties are then each allowed to fill those seats as based off a pre-drawn list of possible seat-holders.
Below are descriptions of the parties currently active in Silar's elections. You may then select how you would like to vote. The results from this will go into determining the make-up of the High Parliament which will convene January 2nd of 2013. Voting closes December 31st and results will be announced January 2nd.
