Rifles can't be put on a holster when the capitain tells you to man the 160mm guns.

Would be better with a carbine or a lot easier with a pistol, than a full sized rifle.

Look into adopting a rifle similar to the AKs-74u

AK-105 is the mid-length '74M carbine. The AK-102 is the 5.56 carbine.

Which would be the AK-105 (or AKS-74u if you wanted super-short).

I think the manual bolt-locking mechanism would make it very difficult for the rifle to load itself.

@Coltarin
I'm thinking giving it two meaty lugs on the bolt face and the Lee-Enfield's locking mechanism.
It would make for less intricate machining on the bolt-face but I'm not sure if it would make reloading a chore.
It's made for firing over-pressure rounds of an undecided calibre, so I want the bolt to be very secure.

It comes off as (ascetically) to me as a self-loading rifle is all.

It looks good by the way.

If you have it firing over pressure wouldn't you want to have three lugs like the Mauser?

The Lee-Enfield's lugs are massive, IIRC.

Here and there as I see something I like.

The Yugoslavian M48 was a gift in, I believe, 2007 or 2008? The M1 Carbine was around that time, as well. The GP WASR-10/63 was purchased in November of 2008 since I had been looking for a better semi-automatic rifle than my M1, and saw Atlantic's shooter combo. for $500.00: rifle, two mags, bayonet, sling, oiler, and a hard case. After that, I believe my 1911 was an early 2010 item, and the P.38 came the following November and receive the Mossberg 500A as a gift that December. I think I was more or less purchased out until mid-2011 or so? I think I got the Makarov and Daewoo sometime in late 2011, and I think I must have gotten the TP25 (PPK clone) around that time, as well? I don't really remember 2011 all that well as I was fairly busy that year. The SGL 21-94 and the Hungarian M44 were purchased on the same day in February of 2012, I purchased the Russian M44 about two or three weeks after that, the SKS was a feelsbadman.jpg purchase after I missed a PSL (with all accessories) for $700 at a gun show, and I was more or less done until I decided to start going to university. After that, I purchased my girlfriend's SGL 21-62, the Kar98k, two M91/30s, and will be going through them for my Super VEPR if they are able to find any. If the AWB does not pass, I might also look into collecting current-use models of Russian AKs. I figured 40+ AKM variants was kind of... well, a waste after some thought, but having an AK-103, AK-104, AK-74M, AK-105 (maybe), SAIGA-12, and whatever else Russia/FIME/Arsenal decides to throw our way would be pretty neat. Only time will tell.
